Hey guys ,
please post your stats here if you're applying to sfsu nursing program so we can have an idea about how competitive this cohort is ? Do you know If they accept for both fall and spring ?
Thank you and good luck
Good job, @master641215! Congrats! Is there any mention in your acceptance email of the date they gave you to accept by?
I got waitlisted today, too. In my waistlist notification email they said that they "will be in touch by email and/or telephone if a space becomes available for [me] between May 15th and July 31st." Does that mean I won't hear ANYTHING until mid-May? I feel like I'm in no better position than I was before.
Thanks, @Macaroni84! I was given 2 weeks to respond to the acceptance.
As for those of you who were waitlisted, don't lose hope! I found out I was on the waitlist last year, in the number 3 position. It was nerve-wracking; from April to July, I was constantly checking my e-mail, hoping I would be out of the waitlist and accepted.
As the months rolled by, I eventually was number 1 on the list, and was on the edge of my seat the remainder of the time! Unfortunately, no more spaces opened up, and I had to reapply this year.
Although I wasn't admitted last year, there's still hope for those of you on the waitlist this year. It's a grueling process, but you can always vent your frustrations and angst on this thread!
I don't think we hear back until later in April....this waiting is torture!
Is this the only BSN program you've applied too? I already got denied at SSU. So nervous because I didn't have any volunteer hours add to the application. It stated that it would not be counted, but how would it count against me-- just curious?
Thanks @master641215! I am #2 on the waitlist for Peds, so here's to hoping I can move just two spots too and join you! Wish I knew how many spots there are for each specialty so I could assess my chances better...
@macaroni84, you can try calling the School of Nursing for your waitlist number. I did and was told they pull off the waitlist by speciality, can anyone confirm this?

I applied to the BSN program at CSULA and got in but I want to wait to hear back from SFSU before I make a final decision on where to go. I'm not sure if not having volunteer hours counts against you but I think they are a part of their decision process. It said on the university website that previous students who got accepted fulfilled supplemental criteria. I had 250+ hours at my local hospital from a pre-health student program they offered. What did you hear about them not being counted?

The website said it would be considered, but it was optional. So is it counted for or not is my question
