SFSU Fall 2015

Published

Hey guys ,

please post your stats here if you're applying to sfsu nursing program so we can have an idea about how competitive this cohort is ? Do you know If they accept for both fall and spring ?

Thank you and good luck

I'm number 58 , too far away ,

ELMSN post here. According to my notes, everyone who had been accepted for the ELMSN program (they heard back on April 10) should have either accepted or declined within 2 weeks. That deadline was last Friday, April 24th. That means that the SON administrators should already know whether there is room for people in the first position of the waitlist, right? Right?!? Why the May 15th date??

Didn't get in to RN-BSN. So bummed í ½í¸”

Regarding the ELMSN:

@Macaroni84 I was thinking the exact same thing--why the long wait? I've thought about calling for another update but haven't....

Did anyone get the acceptance letter/email for the campus itself, though?

From what I read in the email it said students get an official acceptance letter from the campus itself a week from now. Thats what I understood from the email! Congrats to everyone who got in ^^

Thank you! I wanted to submit my intent to register (online) ASAP, and the option to accept admission finally became available today (at least for me). So excited! Congrats to everyone too, and good luck to those on the wait list!

Hey keep the spirits high, last year people wait listed in the 50's were able to get in.

how do you keep your spot on the waitlist? how do you enroll if you haven't been accepted through your alternate major???

Hey @Macaroni84,

I believe the May 15th date is the absolute cut off date for people to accept/decline. Last year, the cut off date was July 31st. So even though admission offers were sent in April, I was slowly moving up my waitlist by end of June.

At least the SoN gave an earlier cut off date than last year. Good luck!

I am so happy I got in!! I now have to make a choice between SF State and Sac State (way cheaper to live there)... I would love to go to SF state, but I am worried about the cost of living in SF. Which areas are more affordable?

@Anais b

sac area is way less expensive.

@Anais-b, Sac is pretty affordable compared to SF. Take a look at Craigslist to get a sense of rent prices. You can get a nice place (and the houses are super cool) for much less than in SF. The summers are really hot in Sac, though, but you're closer to Tahoe. The public transit system is decent, too. I work in Sac, and I've been in the area for more than 12 years. PM me if you have any questions!
