SFSU ABSN Summer 2020

Published

Hey all,

I just wanted to start a thread for those who are applying to San Francisco State University's ABSN program at the San Marcos campus. This is for the summer 2020 start date.

Good luck to everyone applying! Let's stay in touch.

I have applied! Nervous!

Hi! It is for College of San Mateo right?

I have also applied, curious about the timeline.

Specializes in Nursing Assistant.

Hey! I just emailed them about the timeline for interviews and final decisions. They said that interviews will start now and go until May. Final decisions come out in May as well.

Good luck everyone! :)

Hi! I applied too. Waiting is the worst! Has anyone heard back about interviews yet?

I did, too!

I emailed to ask, too. I got an response:

"The admission decision may be released sometime around Late April / early May. You will be emailed."

So....best luck to everyone!

The stress of waiting is making my heart squeeze like crazy!

@Megumi Sasaki

Thanks for posting! I wonder if that means no interviews for the Summer start then...

Anyone want to post their stats? ?

Hello applicants!

I'm currently in SFSU's ABSN 2019-2020 class. Things move really quickly for the Summer start program. First off, the Division of Graduate Studies (handles a lot of the administrative work and communication) sucks but the Nursing Program itself and its staff are amazing. After my interview I found out a week later that I got accepted and the orientation was ~2 weeks after that. This year classes start on June 1st, 2020. I suggest starting to figure out your financial situation and housing as soon as you get your acceptance since there's not a lot of time before you begin the program.

I'll check this thread periodically to see if I can answer any questions you may have. I'm not allowed to share anything about the interview, but I suggest practicing typical interview questions and wearing business casual clothes.

Good luck!

Hey! Thank you so much for you for your help! Is there a thread for your application period?? I am trying to find one, but cannot. I want to find something to base my stats off of.

Not many stats on there, but I hope this helps!

@MAC3

Thank you so much for posting! Keeping postive and preparing for best case scenario - acceptance!
