SFSU ABSN Summer 2023 Nursing Program

I haven't seen anyone start a thread for SFSU's ABSN program this year. Hoping to connect with people who applied for Summer 2023! 

Does anyone know if we need to submit official transcripts to NursingCAS only? Thanks!

Hello!

I have just submitted my nursingcas app for Summer 2023. It seems that the cal state app only requested for unofficial transcripts, so I just uploaded those.

I sent official transcripts to nursingcas which is how I assumed we were supposed to do it. However, one of my transcripts still hasn't been received which is cutting it close to the deadline for this school and CSULAs program. I also submitted the cal state app with unofficial transcripts!

Sending transcripts is the most nerve wrecking part with the deadline! I still have 7 transcripts not received. One of my schools are closed for Winter break until tomorrow ? How long did it take them to receive your transcripts and update on Nursingcas?

I only had to send transcripts from 2 schools. One school sent them fairly quick but I knew my second school would take a while. I received an email from Parchment that it was received by nursingcas on 1/5 but it still says not received on my application so hopefully it changes soon. I sent both my transcripts on 1/2.

Hello Everyone!

Were you able to locate the ABSN program on the Cal State Apply portal?

I found it on Nursing Cas, but not on Cal State Apply.

It is under "Nursing - Accelerated BSN Program (BSNA) San Mateo" on the Cal State Apply for Summer 2023.

I found the cal state application by selecting Summer 2023 cycle there is a different app for fall which I believe it won't show up on that portal. 

That being said I do know the nursingcas app asked for an SF state ID that is sent to you about a week or so after submitting your cal state app! Just an FYI

Hello guys. Do you know what to do if I don't receive my SF state ID before the 15th? Should I leave it blank if I don't? I am scared that I will not get it by then because although I have heard that the NursingCas is not required it is very recommended in case you have healthcare experience and whatnot. Thanks! :/

Also, do you guys mind sharing your stats?

Mine are as follows:

88.7% TEAS, 3.7 GPA, 1.5 years of EMT experience, and some volunteering.

Tbh I read from previous threads how confusing the app can be but since their site states to complete both the cal state and nursing cas apps I did both. The nursingcas app also had personal statement questions. I was worried about not getting my state id too since I turned in my cal state app pretty late on 01/03 but I got my id around a week or so later. I would try and call the school for more info on that! 

Also my stats:

92% TEAS, 3.7 GPA, 2 years experience as an EMT and worked undergrad as a research assistant for the California smokers helpline.

For the personal statement questions on nursingcas, are we supposed to stay under the 200 word limit or the 1400 character limit that the text box allows?
