New SFSU/CSM ABSN Spring 2019

Is anyone applying for this? It's the replacement for the SFSU/Sequoia program. At CSM instead of Canada. 1 year instead of 2. Must have a previous Bachelor's degree since it's an ABSN now. I don't see a thread for it yet...

Really want to apply, but afraid my science prereqs might be expired.

I was thinking of applying, but I'm a little worried because it's a brand new program. I've personally been part of a new nursing program during it's first year of operation and have seen how chaotic and problematic courses and clinicals can get. Not sure if I want to go through that with a 1st-year program. But, you may want to e-mail the School of Nursing to confirm your science prereqs. They are pretty responsive to e-mails.

I wanted to see if anyone had any information on this program? Has anybody applied? I am interested in applying for their summer 2019 cohort but am curious if anyone has any experience with them yet since they are a newer program.

Hi i'm planning to apply too for the summer cohort! when i emailed them, they said this is the first year for this program. i feel like not much people know about it since i cant find any forums on it?! the counselors and dean were really responsive when i had any questions, they generally emailed within an hour or less

I couldn't find any forums for this cohort either but I am glad to have found a fellow applicant! ?
May I ask if you have submitted your calstateapply application yet? and if so did you receive your sfsu id yet?
I submitted about a week and a half ago and still havn't received an email from sfsu, so am getting a little worried.

No I didn’t! I’m planning to do it this week since it’s due in a week and half! I wonder why they extended the deadline to March 1 to March 10? I really think because they need more people to apply? Lol did you start on the NursingCAS application yet! That one takes awhile! I use that website for smu too

i was confused about the deadline too! I didn't realize it was because they extended it, thought i had just read it wrong or something haha. I hope it is because not many people applied. fingers crossed that means we will get acceptances! If possible, I would recommend you turn in the calstateapply asap because I think they ask for the sfsu id in the NursingCAS app.

Omg okay I’ll do it ASAP! I calculated the intuition and it’s definitely a lot cheaper than other programs! So finger crossed for us ??! I’m worried about the interview, I wish there were old forums to get info about the application process and all that but cannot find a single one!

Hi! I would call them about the ID, they are responsive. They told me it would happen within days once you apply.

Does the teas test have to be completed for the cal state apply part?

From what I’ve seen for the past couple months the due date has been 3/10.

I believe so, I uploaded my unofficial teas score report to calstateapply under their documents section

Correct me if I am wrong but I looked everywhere and it doesn’t seem they require a personal statement. Right?

Phone number - The Nursing department. It’s listed on the website when you view this program.

I think more people will apply because Samuel Merritt just sent out the waitlist and it’s long!
