That Hooters ad scrapes the bottom of the barrel of inventiveness. You guys know, I don't... what kind of profits does Hooters post in a year? Can't they afford a decent ad agency?

Do you care what image politicians, bureaucrats and health care administrators have? I would respectfully suggest that you might not be considering all the implications of public perception. As far as eating at Hooters, feel free- as long as you realize that you're spending your own money to support a firm that sees no harm in defaming your profession for commercial gain.

wow, are you burning braziers/nursing uniforms on your states capital building right now while posting this up? Maybe you are taking life just a little too serious for some reason right now. I dont think a hooters ad, which I have not seen in the 5 different cities across the country I have been to in the past 3 months, will have much pull with the hospital admins(I have been one) or the state/federal policy makers..... I bet the brazier/nurse uniform burning might though...... have fun with that.

I don't normally correct spelling mistakes, but braziers are actually meant for burning, as in burning things in; like brassieres, for example.

Hooters, Flatliners Grill, Bennie Hill TV show, all stereotype the nursing role. Same for flight attendents. Both shattered when you are sick or when the plane is on fire.

I'm more concerned that - according to the programme I watched not long ago - Hooters does promote itself as a family restaurant too. Are children seeing these ads as well and getting the wrong idea? No wonder they are all screwed up nowadays if Hooters thinks that is good PR!

I personally have better things to do with my time. I don't eat at Hooters nor do I know anyone that would. I could care less what they portray nurses as and I don't need to watch the video to know what it's all about. But feel free to get all riled over it on my behalf. There are honestly way more important issues in the world right now.

I eat at Hooters, love their wings and fried pickles and a nice cold pint of Blue Moon. I like to go on Wednesday's sometimes for Trivia night. And I am an RN. Am I less of a person because of this?
