sex in the work place...really?

So I'm watching television.... nursing and hospital shows of course...and they are always showing someone in these shows who is in love with another nurse, or doctor and they always end up having sex while in the hospital. My question is does this really go on at the workplace? How many of you have witness this, heard about it happening, or was one of the parties involved?:yeah:

I would bet with all the security cameras in place, there are few places to go for a tryst.

Well, u bring up an interesting point. If they knew or got on to us, they didn't let on. We were both newly divorced, and he was the nurse mgr of a 2 floor LTAC unit. I usuallly had been working on the vent dep. floor, but got pulled between the 2 floors. One time he called me down into his office, and told the unit clerk to get me. When she saw me, she was like, "OOh, WHAT did u do? Boss is looking for u, and he sounds mad!" Not too long after we started dating, I transferred to the ER at the same facility. There was one RN who I got along really well with came down to visit for a minute. She started stammering a little, and got all flushed. Finally she spit it out and asked if something was going on between the two of us. I had gotten engaged a few days before and just stuck my hand out. Almost half the staff started trickling down once they heard.

The "big boss" over the LTAC staff - dh's ultimate boss finally got wind of it the day he put in his notice. We were moving from our hometown to a small one about 1 1/2 hrs away to set up a vent unit, and she was NOT happy when he told her. He even asked me that evening, "What did u do to ---- her off?? She was hateful when I told her."

Turns out, later, the DON of out facility wanted him too. Since she found out about us getting engaged, she quit her job. still see her occasionally, but he mood isn't any better.

Well, at night our security guard has walked in on 2 chicks, right in the middle of it, on top of the supply sign in desk. This happened at a previous job, and I didn't expect anything like that there.

Ive had sex in the workplace LTC facility working nights and being the only male I was a target. lol but It was going steady for about 5 months......unnnntttiiillll her childs father found out came up to the job with a gun and chased me in my car down the street, and then continued to harrass me on fb for about 3 months after. After having to take leave for a couple weeks I came back to being the center of gossip. I did end up sexing the lady one more time afterwards at work just as a final F*** YOU to her guy.....I was a young CNA at the time (18) and in the end changed my entire perspective on work relations.......DONT FIDDADLE WITH ANYONE WITH A CRAZY GUY AT HOME lol:D

if she showed up acting/looking like that in shome hospital units, they'd accuse her of diverting drugs, suspend her and and do a UDS!

In regards to the post about a nurse showing up looking flushed and wild haired, denying being gone long after going to "get a coffee" (When she was actually having a romantic momment with an RT)

Heard about but never saw, except as a new grad nurse. I was working as a peds nurse on 3-11 shift. I walked in to do my room check and saw the parents of an infant working at ...welll having another one in the kids crib! Remember these are those big metal cribs...easy for two adults to make it rock and roll and they did.

I saw but didn't comprehend, my first thought "where's the kid?" There he was in one of those little red wagon's sleeping by the chair. I stood there like an idiot then said..."oh, ummmm, I'll come back later!"

actually, you're pretty darned close.

i work w/dying pts (inpatient)

you'd be surprised how many would love to have that '1 more time' with their loved one.

i try to set up the room, as cozy as possible.

Shame we don't have any security officers on this site (yeah yeah yeah i know this is a forum for nurses but............) ooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the stories. I had the priviledge of checking some of their cctv footage and ooooooooooooooooo mmmmmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyyyyyy gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IN the hospital where I work, the morgue, the medical school library and the back of the accident and emergency department that are the hot spots for all the extra curricula activities; a real multi disciplinary team:lol2:

The Morgue.... EWWW... That is just gross. I have never had sex at work, but I will tell you it would be the last place on my list. Never ever will happen there. How can u get frisky in that environment. That is just wrong. :barf02:

Sex at Workplace!! This should not be tolerated at any cost..whether it is an hospital or any other professional organization, these activities would hamper the discipline and proper functioning of the organization or hospitals...
