Seminole State Spring 2012 Generic/Concurrent Applicant

I heard that they were trying to get away from the "nights and weekend" phrasing since it's pretty much the same schedule between all of the semesters now. I looked up the classes on SSC and UCF's website, and it looks like this is our schedule:
Monday 830a-920a or 930-1020 - Health Assessment Lab (UCF)
Monday 3p-6p - Fundamentals of Nursing
Tuesday 10a-1p or 2p-5p - Pharmacology
Wednesday 9a-1050a - Health Assessment (UCF)
Wednesday 11a-1150a - Health Assessment Lab (UCF)
Wednesday 1p-730p - Fundamentals of Nursing
Thursday 9a-330p - Fundamentals of Nursing
The UCF classes are on the SSC campus, and I couldn't find the Professional Seminar class through my UCF account like I could with the Assessment class. This also doesn't include clinicals/extra labs/activities/etc. This is just what I found through the SSC and UCF catalogs for next semester for these course numbers.

Where did you see these courses because I cannot find NUR 1020C (Fundamentals of Nursing). I wonder if I have the wrong filters set or something.

Has anyone received a letter yet? Is UCF the only one sending emails or is SSC sending emails too? Would someone know if they're still looking at applications or if they're done? Please answer if somebody knows! I applied and haven't received anything at all:mad:

Have you tried contacting SSC to ask? They may be able to verify if the letters have been sent out yet.

Where did you see these courses because I cannot find NUR 1020C (Fundamentals of Nursing). I wonder if I have the wrong filters set or something.

I was looking through some old posts from the previous class and they mentioned something about needing a special code to register for classes? Maybe that is something we will need to wait for orientation to learn? My SSC account says I can register for classes on the 31st. I think I will try and see if they are showing up then.

I just ordered the top from Meridy's and it was almost $40 after shipping :eek:

Has anybody been to Uniformity yet?

Congrats to all that got in, and for those that didn't this time around keep your head up! You'll get in!!! I haven't heard anything from UCF after sending in my acceptance. Trying to get everything done, set up bootcamps, physical, titers, etc.. But excited, it's been a couple years of hard work!!! Wheewwwww!

I know we won't be able to register until at least after orientation, but my work does 6 week schedules, a month in advance, so I was looking for some idea of our schedule. :)

I'm heading up to Uniformity tomorrow. I need to measure myself for Meridy's. Other posts have all said to order one size larger than your measurements recommend.

I received my letter and I wasn't able to get in... :bluecry1: I feel like I've been cheated! :madface: Looks like SSC does have a waiting period after all, because I got denied due to the fact that they chose people that finished spring 2010 (one semester before me). I'll reapply for fall 2012 by then they HAVE TO accept me, I didn't work my head off getting a 4.00 gpa for nothing!

I know its frustrating Mary. The same thing happened to me last year, don't be discouraged. Congratulations on your perfect gpa, that's awesome. You will get in for fall and its only 2 semesters behind this class. Good Luck!

I know the sizing for Meridy's is controversial that is why I wanted to order it right away, that way I will have plenty of time to return it if necessary. Good Luck everyone.

I just want to say for everyone who did not get in this time Don't Give Up. I know how you feel (I was in your shoes last year). You can apply again in the spring for August start. I didn't apply for spring because I hoping to have evening classes, looks like I waited an extra semester for nothing. Good Luck to all of you!

Did you at least get on the alternate list? I finished in Summer 2010 also.

I emailed UCF to get an explanation as to why I was rejected. They told me it was because I didn't put in an application to SSC! WHAT????!!!!!! I clearly did. I sent them my email from SSC stating I was an alternate. I'm waiting to hear back from them about it.
