Hey all, I was wondering if anyone else is on this website that is applying to the upcoming spring evening term for SSC and if so, what are your thoughts. Are you nervous? I am!
Can someone aware me on what this is? I did not see anything in the application packet.Letter for intent when we have yet to receive our acceptance/rejection letters?
If you got an acceptance letter/email from Seminole State, there is a page included that you have to send back in order to reserve your seat.
Where did you see these courses because I cannot find NUR 1020C (Fundamentals of Nursing). I wonder if I have the wrong filters set or something.
It's back up! http://www.seminolestate.edu/catalog/courses/course/NUR1020C (Make sure you have Spring 2012 as your term).
I am about to start working at south Seminole hospital so I was able to get all my shots and titers through work for free, except for the tdap. One weird thing though, I have had all my hep b vacs., but my titer came back negative. The nurse explained to me that it is not uncommon for immunity not to develop with the vaccine so I will see if my primary care doc will take care of that but I will have to sign the declination form for in the mean time. Also I got my drug screen and background check done too.
I had already started the immunization process so I have an appointment next week for my 2nd hep b shot, I'm hoping to have my doc fill out the forms at the same time. I have completed the online portion of the background check and have an appointment with Quest on Monday for my drug test. I have ordered my uniforms and got the fingerprinting scheduled. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. Can't wait for orientation.
Happy Saturday Everyone! Where are you all at in the process? I have received all my titers, flu shot, Tdap (ouch), MMR, TB/PPD testing, background check, and drug screening.
I've signed up for fingerprinting and all of the boot camps, done my background check, filled everything out for the drug screening (the paperwork got to me Thursday afternoon, and I've been working all weekend), bought uniforms, etc. I haven't done any of the physical/immunization stuff yet because a) I'm trying to find my blue sheet and b) I don't want to make an appt with my Dr and have her sign forms to turn around and schedule another appt to take care of the UCF forms.
ETA: I also need to find out if they'll accept my PPD from work, since we have to do a new one annually with our fit test.
I believe the blue form (for general admission) can be found on the UCF website. The forms you are required for immunizations concerning the program are found on the website you used for the background check.
You can create an immunization account even before you have the forms completed.
Also don't forget to create a Knights email account if you haven't already. I need to wait for the business hours to open on Monday before I can complete this.

I thought UCF had a separate immunization form and background check? And the blue form I'm trying to find is the one from my pediatrician. UCF has a copy of it somewhere, but I need it to fill out the immunization tracking forms.

I went to Uniformity today and bought 2 polos, 2 scrub pants, a jacket, and some accessories (pen light, etc). The Landau scrubs run a size smaller than Cherokee (for people who wear Cherokee scrubs to work like I do), and if you're a little bit *ahem* chesty, I would try on the unisex polos as opposed to the female polos (although that seems backwards, the unisex scrubs definitely have more space in the chest).
Also, if you work at Orlando Health, Uniformity does payroll deduction (which is nice, because that's $185 less straight out of pocket).
