  1. Herzing helps with clinical placement.
  2. Ok so I'm researching ECPI. I know they just started the MSN-FNP program. Anyone currently enrolled?
  3. Each semester (2 terms) was $9000+. It was about $36000 since I only had to take nursing classes. I would recommend taking pre-reqs at another college first that is cheaper.
  4. Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. About 16 years ago I posted about my upcoming journey through Herzing. Here is my analysis: -Herzing is tough yet doable -I completed the Accelerated BSN program 12/21/2016 (on time without repeating a class) -there were times I thought I couldn't make it but I did -the instructors made themselves available. Some you absolutely loved and others have to grow on you. -in the end, all the headache and stress was well worth it. -I received my authorization to test around 1/3/17 and took NCLEX on 1/11/17. Computer shut off at 75 questions. Found out I passed 1/12/17 and I am now a Registered Nurse -being a BSN student, I was able to challenge the LPN boards because they offer this option to BSN students -took and passed the PN boards in Novemeber with the minimum amount of questions required (85) so I have two Nursing licenses -BTW, the school pays for both NCLEX applications the first time -I have gotten multiple job offers and hospitals love Herzing Students -Overall I highly recommend the school because it truly prepares you for the world of nursing and passing the NCLEX
  5. ABSN requires you to have a Bachelor Degree already. It's a second degree program.
  6. Hi Dpauly96, I have been attending Herzing since September 2015. I will say it has been a journey. There have been many changes and the requirements for the course is very demanding. I believe that as students, we get out what we put in. Therefore, if we do not put forth the genuine effort to succeed, we are liable to fail. Many of the negative reviews are partially true, however, WE are in control of our education. No one can do anything to take that away from us. Regardless of the staff at Herzing (good/bad/ugly), if we do what is required....WE WILL SUCCEED! I refuse to blame my short comings on the actions of someone else. I am the type of person that ALWAYS evaluates my role: Did I do my best?, Did I forget an Assignment, ETC. Some people fail classes because of a tenth of a point and complain about it, yet they didn't do an assignment that was worth 1 point. Hope you see where I'm coming from
  7. Hello, I haven't been on here in a while because I've been busy with school, work and family. However, in regards to the accelerated program I must say I like it so far. This is how my schedule has been: -started the program September 2015 with 1 class (Nursing 1) for 8 weeks -term 2, I had Nursing 2 and nursing informatics -term 1 (spring semester) I'm in nursing 3 (med surg) -term 2 (this semester) I will start nursing 5 (OB) and have nursing Pathophysiology, global nursing and community health nursing. I know it sounds like a lot but the set up of classes are designed to be manageable so we can actually be successful. I will say that we have lost people from Nursing 3 because Medsurg is no joke but if you study hard, apply yourself and practice LOTS of NCLEX questions, you give yourself a fair chance of passing. Many motivation is knowing that on December 21, 2016, I will be done with the program and can finally go and sit for the NCLEX and start a career in nursing !
  8. Very easy to get in. I love it. Email me [email protected]. I'll give you more info then
  9. Hey @nursinghopeful5! From experience I can relate to the fact that they do require you to come in face to face because of different options. They do have an accelerated program which is what I'm in because I already have a bachelors degree. Have you taken the TEAS exam? If you already took that and have scores that are within their requirements then the next step would be sending unofficial transcripts that the Advisor would take to the registrar to review and give you an idea of needed credit. Basically I only have one class outside of nursing classes because they didn't accept my fine arts as a humanities class. Once you have the qualifying Teas score and they review your transcript, they will let you know where you go next whether you have to take an addition class or two or you are able to start the next term which I believe is in January. Are you moving to Orlando?

  11. Hello All! I have been busy-busy but wanted to give an update about the program. So far, I cannot complain about anything. I believe that the program is awesome so far. I am currently in Nursing 1 and the instructors team-teach and let me tell you, this team is great! They are funny, make jokes throughout lecture, keep all our learning activities realistic, and makes me feel like it was the right choice to come to this school. The staff seems very professional. So far, I have only had an issue with one staff member and it was quickly corrected. I ask a lot of questions and it doesnt matter the amount of questions I ask, the instructors answer them without being (or showing) frustration. They obvioulsy love what they do because they do it so well. I promise I am not making up stuff, this is really how it is at Herzing. If I have hiccups I will definitely let you know. So far I will say that the biggest thing I noticed for myself is that I have to read my text, study and do all assignments given or I will not make it. Had my first test (which was scary because I didnt know what to expect) and the class overall did well. I credit it to the way the teachers teach and how motivated us students are to learn. If you have specific questions let me know and I will be happy to answer them.
  12. Because I'm in the accelerated program I'll have classes both day and evening one day a week
  13. No not gen ed. I start the nursing core classes in September.
