I thought I would start a thread for applicants to the 2016 MSN for Non-Nurses: Advanced Practice Nursing Immersion at Seattle University. I am applying for the Family Nurse Practitioner specialty. Any other applicants for this cycle? Questions and comments regarding the program and admissions process are welcome!

Seattle University APNI Applicants is the name of the FB page. AG, Psych and CNM seem to have most of the action. So far only 2 rounds of interviews for FNP have been sent out. I know they're overflowed with applicants and they'll be doing more invites soon and interviews will be done by the last weekend of February.
Congratulations on your interview!
I'm a bit disappointed that interviews are running into March, as I thought they would be finished by the end of February. Sounds like we probably won't hear back by Feb 27th after all, which was the original estimate, but that's okay. I'm assuming the fact that they're still doing interviews suggests that they haven't locked in spots yet which is definitely interesting. In any case, congratulations on your interview. Let us know how it goes!
Congrats Denise!
In response to earlier posters - there hasn't been much activity on the APNI facebook group lately. What activity there has been is less constructive information and more people stressing about whether or not SU is still contacting applicants for interviews and when final decisions are made. I do wish SU had better communication with applicants and had set more clear expectations for the process in their initial interview e-mail. I think their admissions staff must be really overwhelmed.
Remember All, this is the last year they are offering the program with the most applicants they have ever seen. Their job is not easy, so I'm not surprised with the amount of applicants on top of their FT teaching positions that they are holding interviews passed their initial thought.
I also had to pay a down payment at another school because their deadline to reserve my spot in their program was Feb 15th. Which is ******, but I'm still waiting for Seattle to give me some word. IF they accept me, I'll be out my deposit for my back-up school, but I won't care because Seattle is my #1.
I applied to 7 schools, 8 programs. I'm waiting on Seattle and Univ. Minnesota. I was accepted to my back up school, Bellarmine University in Kentucky. It's only an Accelerated BSN program, however.
I have a bit of an update on the timeline for FNP. I spoke to Ben today and he said remaining interviews are today and next Saturday. The committee will meet on March 4th to make admissions decisions and candidates will be informed sometime the following week.
Thanks for the update! Any word on latest for psych? Also, based on previous years it appears that some candidates were notified of acceptances after interviews on a rolling basis. Did they change that this year to notifying everyone all at once after everyone has been interviewed?

It's been real quiet on the fb group, no one has heard anything in weeks it feels like :/. I had my interview on the 6th and now I'm just agonizing over it.
