CONGRATULATIONS! Did they call or email you? I haven't received any notification. I'll have to call on monday to ask about status. Keep us posted on your interview.

Seattle University APNI 2016 Applicants
@Oregonian89 - Congratulations! I think you're making a wise decision in regard to MGH and $500. I also had to make a down payment to another program as their deadline to hold a spot was Feb 15th! If you were a top 10 in a raw score, DO NOT be hard on yourself about the interview. That is an amazing position to be in. Great job! May I ask what your essay entailed (volunteer? UG experience? Real world? Personal?) I hope you hear from SU before March 9 so you can stay where you want to be. However, Boston is awesome, and I think they have a wonderful program. Good luck!

Seattle University APNI 2016 Applicants
I applied to 7 schools, 8 programs. I'm waiting on Seattle and Univ. Minnesota. I was accepted to my back up school, Bellarmine University in Kentucky. It's only an Accelerated BSN program, however.

Seattle University APNI 2016 Applicants
Remember All, this is the last year they are offering the program with the most applicants they have ever seen. Their job is not easy, so I'm not surprised with the amount of applicants on top of their FT teaching positions that they are holding interviews passed their initial thought. I also had to pay a down payment at another school because their deadline to reserve my spot in their program was Feb 15th. Which is ******, but I'm still waiting for Seattle to give me some word. IF they accept me, I'll be out my deposit for my back-up school, but I won't care because Seattle is my #1.

Marquette University 2016 Direct Entry Program Admissions
Hi all. I unfortunately received the "Thanks but no thanks" notification in late January from Marquette. I was at least hoping for an interview. Good luck to you all!

University of Minnesota, Entry MSN 2016
Hi All, I'm an applicant for the Summer 2016 cohort to the Univ. of Minnesota Entry Masters program for students with a non-nursing background. I have applied to many programs. Most have already turned me down. I'm waiting on Seattle University and Minnesota. I know Minne said they are sending invitations to interview or rejection notifications on Feb 26th. Has anyone heard anything yet?? Getting anxious.

@Shulmaith Seattle University APNI Applicants is the name of the FB page. AG, Psych and CNM seem to have most of the action. So far only 2 rounds of interviews for FNP have been sent out. I know they're overflowed with applicants and they'll be doing more invites soon and interviews will be done by the last weekend of February.

@MSNHopeful: Congratulations on PLU! I assume that it's the Doctorate path? Did you visit both schools before applying? If so, did one campus speak to you more? @Verene: What track are you applying to and get the interview for?

That's good news, I guess! Better to know there are still reviews being done rather than just waiting for the rejection letter! (I too am patiently waiting for an interview for FNP). Thank you @wojo8 for calling them! Do you know who you spoke with, by chance? Also, welcome to the forum!

Good to hear LittleFeets! My essay really highlighted the underserved, frail and vulnerable....and least I think it did. Its really hard to explain all of the involvement without itemizing. Congrats on your interview!!

Do you think they take all like minded/background individuals? It seems most of you are science major undergrads, with CNA/radiology working experience. I'm trying to find some hope that they see me as a completely different type of candidate with the same drive and want for this program....

Pallas, From my understanding: Seattle U is the last school in WA to have a direct entry to MSN and to be in guidelines with the State of WA, they will eliminate this route, but keep the traditional BSN-DNP. Just no more direct entry to masters. It seems my stars are aligning to go through an accelerated BSN program (I was accepted to Bellarmine in Kentucky) and then reapply to a Masters program next year. I think it will still have a 27 month timeline, just split between two schools. I was hoping to alleviate ever having to apply to school again....but oh well. Good luck in your endeavors. It is quite nice to have this support forum.

I hear you Pallas! My GRE was just enough to meet the minimum (it was a bad test day). Writing is not my strong point, patient relations is! It sounds like you're quite the candidate, and I would continue to stay hopeful if I were you. IF it helps, I'm coming from a Bachelors in Business with 7 years in sales/HR. I'm 29, have very limited experience actually working in the field, and the only thing going for me are my prereq grades, a reference from a doctor, and a decent letter of intent (which I'm not starting to think didn't highlight enough of my experiences). It sounds like there is more likely a spot for you, than me! If I don't get in this year, I don't know if I'll reapply... I could spend the next year volunteering everwhere, but I doubt that really will change much. Also, I heard that this is the last APNI cohort at Seattle U. UW dropped their program and WA state is soon to follow the new regulation that NP's must now achieve DNP's....
