Even though I retired from nursing this past Spring and am heavily involved in my art, allnurses continues to be my favorite website. And General Nursing is my favorite forum.
I come here to identify with nurses & their situations, to recall my own, offer advice and/or support when I can, to learn, and to continue to feel a sense of belonging & camaraderie.

Speaking of Monopoly....
One night I was passing meds on geriatric psych when a patient came to the med room window. She had a sad look on her face and I asked her what was wrong. "Dave," she replied, "Tonight I have to go to Hell with Satan".
"Well you're in luck!" I said, " I just happen to have..."
Actually, I made this card after the situation occurred, But just telling the patient that I had such a card brightened her mood considerably.

A few years ago, I made a $500 deposit in my savings account. As I walked out of the bank, I looked at the receipt and noticed an error. My savings account was not credited with $500, but $5,000!

She gave me a free metal water bottle with the bank's logo stamped on it.
I have it on the holder of my bicycle to this day. It's a really good one !
