Scripps New Grad Program

Published

Hi all!

Its that wonderful time again. Thought I would start this thread for any news from Scripps New Grad Program. Hopefully we hear good things back soon! Good luck to everyone!

Hey @TooProudToMention my friend and I grew up in NorCal and went to San Francisco State University, but her permanent address is even further north by Sacramento. I think she did her preceptorship on a BMT unit, and was assigned to Cardiac Med/Tele or something like that? Sorry I can't be more specific. I remember her texting me and saying "Well, I guess this is my unit!" She wasn't disappointed at all, though. After all...we're not exactly in a position to be picky. lol!

Thank you so much for the info, @PhilipG!! I really appreciate it!

I was curious to see if Scripps does take new grads who went to schools outside of SD and live outside of SD. I guess that may be Sharp who does that, but I couldn't remember if it was Scripps or Sharp.

I was also guessing that maybe they figure out what unit to assign you to based on what unit you did your preceptorship, so it's good to know she did hers on BMT and was assigned to a Cardiac related floor. And yes, I would take whatever floor they offered me any way! lol

It seems Scripps goes through applications fairly quickly so hopefully we hear something by this week or next week!

Wow. Already got rejected. Status changed to "no longer under consideration." Hope everyone else hears good news soon!

Oh wow rejections already! @patient RN, what time did you apply? Maybe you didn't make the cut off of 500 applicants?

Wow! Mine still says "submission received" :/

Based on a previous post in this thread, I made the cut off. I applied at 8:42am. Honestly, I don't get it. I meet all the qualifications. Graduated in May 2011 with my BSN, completed an RN Refresher course this past May, and am IV certified, have NIH Stroke Scale certificate, BLS, and ACLS. I don't get it.

I hope lots of you end up getting interviews. Best of luck to those that do.

patient RN- could it be that you have exceeded the graduation timeline? Good luck to you, I sincerely hope it turns around for you. It's such a rough job market.

Do some of your statuses still say Submission Received or did it go away?

Mine still says submission received..

Mine still says Submission Received as well.

However there is someone on this thread where their application went away, aloix14. I don't know what that means though.

Anyone knows the number for the recruiter? I made the mistake of withdrawing my application in order to resubmit when I didn't receive confirmation email. The system didn't allow me to reapply, but my status says submission received. I need to confirm that it was indeed submitted and not withdrew..:(

Does everyone's status still say "submission received" or something else? I know past applicants got moved forward to interviews even though their status never said "under review" but I'm curious :) also, i saw a Facebook post in a new grad RN group that said we would start to hear back Monday.

There's a phone number at the bottom of the new grad program info page. That might be your best bet.
