SarahLT_RN & ILoveAlaska - Thank you :) I got the call around 1:40pm Pacific time from 619 area code. I really didn't think they would continue to work over the weekend! I got offered a position at 4W surgical acute (in LJ). The start date is 04/11/11 (but not sure if this applies to all units). SarahLT- you said you interviewed for 4E right? Would be awesome to work on the same floor at least Keep us updated! good luck & positive vibes to you guys!!

Since I already worked out today, now it's time for my other standby: stress-release baking!

A sincere congratulations to those who have received an offer! It's so nice to hear happy endings after all of this waiting. I wish you all the best as you begin your careers at Scripps.

As for me, no word yet. SarahLT - I couldn't have said it better. I have come to the point where I am ok whether I get a phone call or an email. If it's an email, it just means that God has other plans for how I begin my career. I just need to continue to wait patiently for my turn.

Thank you all so much for continuing to post and keep everyone updated with the latest information. It really does help.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone for their continued prayers. This forum has been such a support for me. The waiting would have been many times worse without it! Best of luck to us still waiting :)

Congrats to all the new hires! That's an amazing accomplishment. I am happy for you all. As for me, im still waiting. Checking my email and vm lke it doesn't work or something lol. Words of encouragement to the ones who haven't recieved a call yet, including myself. Keep your head up high. Its truly in Gods hands and He has us in the best place we could be. We might need to learn a few things along the way but our dreams are not lost! I know we all would be lucky to have Scripps as an employer BUT remember Scripps would be lucky to have anyone of us as nurses for their hospital. I don't know you guys but I can read the compassion, heart, and dedication in all your posts! If this doesn't work out there is something better out there for us. As for the new hires if we don't make it through please keep up posted on your scripps new grad journey. I am eager to see how it goes for you all. Hopefully I can share the experience but if not im rooting for you guys

Hi everyone. I'm brand new to allnurses but have been following this thread since the beginning. I was wondering if anyone has heard of someone being offered a position on 7 west, oncology, at La Jolla. When I interviewed, the patient care supervisor Sara told me that they were "projected" to have 2 openings by the program's start date but as of last week there were "no openings". I'm worried that I interviewed for a unit that isn't hiring. Any thoughts? I also interviewed with 2 north, med acute, Encinitas. But it seems med acute has been filling up pretty well. Any positive words to keep my dwindling hope alive are appreciated.
