  1. Hooray!! If you want, you can email me. Just get my email from the one we got today from the manager.
  2. Interview was standard. A lot of conversation. I got a call the next morning and got the job!
  3. Congratulations!! Do you know how many people will be in the program when all is said and done? I'm talking about Grossmont's Residency.
  4. enb611, What's the status on Grossmont's Residency? I was in the running for Memorial's program and now am not. But I have an interview with Grossmont tomorrow. How many candidates will be selected? When does the program start? Where are the rotations? Have offers been made? Anything you can give me will be super helpful. Thanks!
  5. Just got off the phone. Here's the scoop-- 20 candidates have already been chosen to interview next week. However, Memorial is still trickling a few in, so there will be a few more scheduled. However, in the event that the initial round of interviewees are not as expected, a second wave of candidates will be asked to interview. This second wave will come from those who were given a phone interview so there won't be any more people with whom to compete. (As an aside, the recruiter said that this second wave happens EVERY cohort!) So by this Friday, we should all have received a call either offering an interview or informing us that we are cut. However, those that are cut may still be called June 16th depending on the first round of interviews. I hope this clears up any questions. Now, about NCLEX-- don't study too hard. If you did well on the med-surg predictor, you'll be fine. For the most part, if you don't know it by now, you won't be able to cram. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how smart you actually are! Good luck to all of you!
  6. Who did you hear that from, Katie?
  7. Okay, let's keep everyone informed. Fingers and toes crossed!
  8. I was told the same thing about the interviews. But like typical Sharp fashion, they're delayed. I'm still hazy as to when the (additional) interviews will take place, but I have a message into the recruiter and hope to hear back tomorrow. She tried to explain via email then called me (blast! I was in the other room) and left a message saying that she could better explain the details over the phone. I'll report those details as soon as I get them.
  9. I talked to the recruiter today. They will be making call backs until June 16. I'm not sure as to when additional interviews will be held. But it's nice to know that there's still hope.
  10. When were your friends called? Thanks for the update.
  11. Still haven't heard a peep from Memorial. Keep us informed, though. There's another member on the site who would love to know when Memorial starts making call backs. Me too! Thanks!
  12. Katie, I'm intrigued..what paper?
  13. Oh, I was told I would hear 'by June 5th'. Hmmm.. I like yours better! Did you talk to (moderator edit of name)?
  14. Katie, still nothing on my end. You? Or your classmate? I'm losing hope..
  15. Katie33, I told them I'd like to work in MedSurg but I didn't know that we also get rotations in PCU. I'd love to work there also. Are you currently working? When did you graduate? (I've been working for 2.5 months in skilled nursing in San Diego and at a psych hospital in San Bernardino. But that's the extent of my medical experience.) I'm anxious to know when callbacks/emails start getting sent out since I don't know anyone else who got a phone interview. Let's keep each other informed!
