Scripps Healthcare New Grad Residency Program 2011, has anyone received a interview invitation?

Firework and everyone who has been sharing their news - thank you SO much for the updates. I am still freaking out, but now I feel better about everything. I will be obsessively checking emails, messages and this forum all weekend (of course:rolleyes:), but this support system has really helped. Congrats to all who got the good news already. . .given how nice and supportive you all have been this week, I know you're so excited about your great news, but also still thinking of those of us still waiting:)

Hi Sooperdooper! Congratulations on your new upcoming job at Scripps!

I have a couple of questions for you - Did HR call you about the job offer? Or was it the unit manager that called you? I read that you will be working at the Cardiac Unit, is it at 6 East Cardiac Care Unit, Scripps La Jolla?

Hello Everyone!

I've been following this thread all week and it was so good to know that you all were in the same boat feeling nervous when an e-mail or the phone rang!

I was losing hope this afternoon after 5pm and decided to stop thinking about it because it was officially the weekend.....

At 830 PM tonight I got a job offer as well with Green!! I wish I asked the questions that have been on this thread to ease everyones anxiety as well... =( but Good luck to everyone... and CONGRATULATIONS to those that also got a job offer with scripps!

Questions you have asked but I have not been able to answer d/t an influx of family/friend love:

-Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego-DOU

-Bay area resident-BSN

-No affiliation with anyone in San Diego or Scripps

-No prior healthcare experience

-I haven't heard of anyone else getting positions ...I was in class all day yesterday. :-/

-Application said "applicant review" until they called me.

-HR called me...not unit manager.

-Firework: You made my evening by sharing that they are still calling!!!!!!!!!!!!

-Congratulations to those that have found out since!

Looking forward to getting great news from all of you today. I won't be on much because I have work but I am praying that I sign back on tonight and learn that we are all co-workers! ;)

Keep up the endorphin-creating sessions! Funny note: I happened to find out that I received an interview after an 8.5mile run! -I'll have you know that I do not typically run 8.5miles, rather I usually do 2-3 in one trip to the gym . I had so much frustration that day that I just felt compelled to keep running. I walked out of the gym, checked my email, and there was an interview invite. I was SORE as could be up until my interview. Lol.

Did anyone without a BSN get hired?

First of all congrats on the job! That is a huge accomplishment!!

A friend of mine got the call last night for La Jolla and she has her ADN with a Bachelor's in somthing not medically related. Shows there is still hope for us ADN's!!!!:D

Becard, I'm not sure, but I do think that it's possible! When I got my interview notice, it was on a Saturday. I'm going to try not to drive myself nuts, but I'll also have my phone by my side all weekend!:)
