I always thought stuff that happened before 18 years old was pretty much washed clean at 18....is this not true? I have no criminal past, therefore I am uncertain.

You do realize NU is one of, if not only, non profit university in San Diego that doesnt force you to achieve a certain score on the ATI predictor test before allowing you to sit for board? All the other schools have artificially inflated scores because those that are more likely to fail the NCLEX are not even given a chance to take it!

I'd agree with that. I initially felt it was this however, A flutter doesn't always present in the typical saw tooth fashion. In any cases, sometimes hard to deciper some rhythms due to rates.

That doesn't look like atrial tach to me. The p to p interval is the same. I actually put calipers up to my screen and mapped it out. Sometimes its buried in the T wave, but its there. This is just Atrial Flutter.

I'm doing the exact same thing. I work on a tele unit that is 3:1 on days and 4:1 at night. In a few weeks I'll be starting a 4 month training program for a Surgical / Trauma ICU. Sad to leave my unit (started on it about 1.5 years ago) but I'm excited to work on my preferred unit. Good luck to us!

I handed them a packet with my cover letter, resume, and letters of rec. There is no need to use a fancy binder to hold them together. Just staple it and save the planet.

If your unit is anything like mine, I couldn't imagine having a 5:1 ratio. During the days, my unit is 3:1, however at night it is 4:1.

This is very sad. My heart goes out to him and his family.

A buddy of mine got his job as a manager like this, however its not typical and usually is because you were already working on that unit for quite some time. For everyone else, be professional and dress accordingly (and a suit most often)!

I dont think my wife has a problem with any of my classmates. We always had parties and hung out but my wife is fairly attractive and the women in my class....not so much :)

Congrats! I had a similar experience as the OP. Took NCLEX on March 2nd, received email about being selected for interview on 4th, interviewed on 7th, and had job offer on 11th. It seemed crazy that I went from licensed to being offered job so fast, especially since I am in SoCal.

This was sent Friday night and people still got offers afterwards. Don't worry!

According to the email Toni sent to all new grads: "Good Day New Grads, I wanted to address a few things. If you were hired onto LaJolla or Green your start date is Monday, April 11th. If you were hired onto Mercy San Diego, Chula Vista or Encinitas your start date is Monday, April 18th. The official start date of the program is Monday, April 25th. More information to come regarding your first day for the Residency Program."

They do have positions. I was offered a position on that unit but declined it for another unit at Scripps La Jolla. Nonetheless, I would have loved to work on that unit because the manager is awesome! She is very friendly, highly energetic, and very intelligent; and the unit itself, would have been awesome.
