I always thought stuff that happened before 18 years old was pretty much washed clean at 18....is this not true? I have no criminal past, therefore I am uncertain.
You do realize NU is one of, if not only, non profit university in San Diego that doesnt force you to achieve a certain score on the ATI predictor test before allowing you to sit for board? All the other schools have artificially inflated scores beca...
I'd agree with that. I initially felt it was this however, A flutter doesn't always present in the typical saw tooth fashion. In any cases, sometimes hard to deciper some rhythms due to rates.
That doesn't look like atrial tach to me. The p to p interval is the same. I actually put calipers up to my screen and mapped it out. Sometimes its buried in the T wave, but its there. This is just Atrial Flutter.

I'm doing the exact same thing. I work on a tele unit that is 3:1 on days and 4:1 at night. In a few weeks I'll be starting a 4 month training program for a Surgical / Trauma ICU. Sad to leave my unit (started on it about 1.5 years ago) but I'm excit...

I handed them a packet with my cover letter, resume, and letters of rec. There is no need to use a fancy binder to hold them together. Just staple it and save the planet.
I was hired at $34.54 in San Diego, CA. One month later everyone was given a 2% raise for living (not part of our raise). So now $35.23. I also get $4.60 for night diff, so... $39.83/hr
A buddy of mine got his job as a manager like this, however its not typical and usually is because you were already working on that unit for quite some time. For everyone else, be professional and dress accordingly (and a suit most often)!

They do have positions. I was offered a position on that unit but declined it for another unit at Scripps La Jolla. Nonetheless, I would have loved to work on that unit because the manager is awesome! She is very friendly, highly energetic, and very ...

I went to school in San Diego for my BSN, have zero medical experience, and no certifications. I think the most important thing they are looking for is your personality. This is something that cannot be easily changed.
sooperdooper replied to Awesomepossum's topic in New Nurse
I was told by a couple managers that certifications do not matter. They said a smart manager will disregard that and only focus on your personality, which is something you cannot readily/easily change; whereas, anyone can get certifications. Nonethe...

Anyone hear any info? I got a call asking me if I had to pick a unit (between the two I interviewed for) what would be my preference... it was implied that both my interviews went well!

I feel your pain, but you experienced much more than I did... I spent quite a bit of time during L&D in the nursery, neonatal, library, etc. areas... it didnt bother me too much though because I figured it would happen. Nonetheless, I am now a RN...
