Is It Summer Yet?!

We still have 50 school days left, including two SATURDAYS we have to work to make up for extra snow days Feels like a lifetime until then...I'm taking my kids to a family reunion in IL, then taking the train to Chicago for 3 days over the Fourth of July. No other travel planned as we go away in February and April and enjoy our Summers here (MA). My kids go away for three weeks of overnight camp, so I will have two weeks with no work and no kids, then one week where I am back a work but they are still away. Our school is an extended school year, so staff report back August 6th. Those six weeks away from this place will FLY I am sure!

I also had a dream about SnowyJ the other night.

I applied to a few camps and got call backs, and I can always go back to my home care gig...but really? I think I'm just gonna not work. Yes, I'll be broke.

This last year has killed me, emotionally. I need a break.

I also have this dude that moved across the country for me, and even though he works hard all day, I wanna hang out when he's around.

AWWWW! Take your break. Have fun with the dude. Sometimes over the summer I dazzle the fam by making dinner from an actual cookbook. I like Ina Garten's recipes. It's always lovely to be appreciated and my beloved looks at me like I'm miraculous/he's surprised I didn't summon a demon by using a cookbook.

4 weeks and East Coast...where is this camp?

I can never work camps because my charter school has an extended school year. And I like my summer. Plus, my husband and I are closing on a condo (we are first time homebuyers) in less than a month, so this summer will likely be a lot of house "nesting."

PS: I also have way too days left in the school year. And I still have postural and SBIRT screenings to do...sigh.

So many babies! Congrats!!
Husband and I went to Quebec for our honeymoon. Loved old Quebec!! Make sure you drink some iced maple tea and walk around all of old Quebec! They have a little cafe with macaroons that are yummy!

Thank you for the recommendation. I love maple, so I will make sure to try the iced maple tea.
