Hi All,
I volunteered to be in charge of the School Nurse Appreciation day at our elementary school. Any ideas for something school nurses would really need/want? In the past they have done a card with a plant and decorated the door.
Thanks!
At my school I get lumped in with "teacher appreciation week", which means I get to partake in the free lunch the principal pays for.
Though for my district, there are over 60 nurses, and our district nurse leaders usually gives us a little gift and cake at our monthly meeting, which is nice, but the recognition at the school level would be nicer!
There's a school nurse appreciation day?
That particular holiday is not observed in my school so I'd be happy with anything. I mean literally anything!! Even just a card would be nice.
I do partake in teacher appreciation week which is usually lunch provided one day. They don't get too excited around here about anything.

I second a coffee gift card.
Side story: There is a great local coffee shop in our school/my neighborhood (I moved closer to my school this summer which the kids love and always give me tips on the neighborhood) that I go to every morning and the kids see that distinct coffee cup on my desk. I got a gift card to that coffee place from one of students for Christmas and it was awesome! Coffee is always great, but also it felt so personal since it was that local coffee shop and meant the student paid attention to what I was drinking :).
