What does your school have policies on related to school health (lice, concussion, allergies, etc.).
Are these policies in writing?
Are they accessible to parents?
Thanks :)

Our only true policy (meaning voted on and passed by the school board) is our Medication Administration Procedure. Everything else is a protocol written by the District Nurses. We take a lot of our information and recommendations from our state DoH. The protocols for lice, when to keep a kid home, etc is available for parents to view on our district homepage.

Policy manual in writing and electronic, searchable format! They would be available to parents if a request was made; and the main rules are summarized on the health part of the district website.

Our policies are available for parents in an online handbook easily accessible via the district website. In addition to that parents are required on a yearly basis to complete an online registration form - a section of that online registration process is acknowledging that they have read the handbook with their electronic signature.

We are the same.
But no one ever actually reads it unless they feel like arguing with me lol

Our policies for who should stay home, who will be sent home, and how meds are given is in the student handbook and on the website.
However, we have department policies regarding every aspect of the job, but as far as I know they are not accessible to parents.

Yes, but I like to mention to parents that the information is in the handbook, that they signed and acknowledged that they read.

Yes and then when the issue is in question, I just email them the policy where it is spelled out.

We have lots of actual board policies for health related topics. They're available to the public via our corporation webpage.
Immunizations, use of medication in school, care of diabetic students, allergies, accidents, concussions, SCA, emergency medical authorization & suicide
OOh...how could I forget...lice, too.
