I graduated on May 12th and it's been a LONG wait for the state to finally issue authorization to test with Pearson. July 7th at 8 AM is the big day.
Our nursing program gave each graduating nurse a scholarship "gift" of the Kaplan 4-day NCLEX prep. I've been doing practice Q-Bank questions nearly every day. So far, I'm doing pretty well on the trainers & Q-Banks. I simply cannot wait to get this over & done with. I have a job lined up and I cannot start until I pass the NCLEX, per their policy.
Anyone else taking their exam next week?
Hi everyone! I'm testing tomorrow at 2pm as well but unlike you all, I haven't studied at all.
I graduated May 22nd with a 4.0 GPA and I felt I was pretty strong test taker throughout the entire nursing program so I feel like I'll either know the content tomorrow or not. We took a comprehensive ATI predictor as our exit exam which said I had a 99.9% chance of passing NCLEX on my first try so I'm hoping the knowledge from back in May is still there. I did the same thing when I graduated LVN school, took 6 months off, didn't study, and when I sat in for the NCLEX PN I passed at 75 questions without a problem.
I actually took 2 Kaplan q bank tests yesterday that my friend let me have access to under his account and scored a 69% and a 65% without any studying so I'm hoping those scores are high enough to pass tomorrow.
Anywho, good luck to everyone! And send your good luck my way in case I need it haha. I'm really not too worried if I have to re-test since the worst is over with (nursing school). Worst that can happen now is just paying again and studying next time around:D
Only 7 days left. Test date so soon. I'm scrambling to finish the rest of my Hurst Q-Review exams.
Q-Review scores
87/125, 84/125
I still have 4 more Q-Review exams to go. From what Hurst Review says on their website, those who have passed the NCLEX
average score at 84/125. Still nervous though. I have been doing 150-200 questions a day for two weeks since I got my ATT two weeks ago!
I'm holding good thoughts for you!Keep us posted!
And I'll soon be joining you in the "waiting" phase tomorrow! I'm just ready to have it done with at this point. XD
80-90 percent of people pass! I hope it's us! Thinking of all today's test takers! You will do just great!
Do not be in a rush, but do not overthink! :-)
OK, just got back home from taking the NCLEX this morning. My exam was at 8 AM. I got up at 6 AM so I could take my time getting ready, eat a good breakfast, take a relaxing shower, etc. I'm glad I did. I felt very refreshed, even though I could hardly sleep last night!
My exam shut off at 77 questions, so I feel VERY good about passing. My very first question had a medication that I've never seen before and I had to take a wild guess. The next 3 questions were SATA (ugh!) but they were really hard, so it made me feel like I must have been doing well to get tough questions. I had one really tricky math problem. I tried solving it with 2 different methods, just to make sure I came up with the same answer. Must have been right, because that was the only math problem I had. I noticed I had a lot of "which patient do you see first?" questions.
None of the questions felt easy. I never had any alternate format questions. I had 2 where I had to click on the Exhibit button to view lab values, patient history & vital signs. One fill-in-the-blank for the math. The rest were SATA or multiple choice.
I finished the 77 question in a little over an hour & 30 minutes. Now the waiting game begins!!!!!!
