I graduated on May 12th and it's been a LONG wait for the state to finally issue authorization to test with Pearson. July 7th at 8 AM is the big day.
Our nursing program gave each graduating nurse a scholarship "gift" of the Kaplan 4-day NCLEX prep. I've been doing practice Q-Bank questions nearly every day. So far, I'm doing pretty well on the trainers & Q-Banks. I simply cannot wait to get this over & done with. I have a job lined up and I cannot start until I pass the NCLEX, per their policy.
Anyone else taking their exam next week?
I have done tons of cleaning! I am so antsy, and I decided to use that energy into productive way to spend a day! My place looks and smells nice! Today I am into cooking :) I think I have made 3 days worth of food.
I am waiting to see Pearson Vue result, to let the rest of the world know I have passed :) Just to make sure :)
Willow:) It is most likely the results will show up at around 5 pm. I have experienced that myself, and I have read a couple of other posts on allnurses, stating 5 pm, as the time you get to know :)
I'll definitely be carefully watching around that time! :) Even though I know rationally that the results won't be up yet, I still can't stop myself from checking. XD
I have to keep telling myself "this time tomorrow, you'll know".Time is D-R-A-G-G-I-N-G!!!!!
You said it. The wait has been the hardest part for me so far. I also don't know what to do with my time... does that seem weird? I'm so used to studying. Studying for the NCLEX every day... and before that it was studying for nursing school... and before that it was studying for my nursing prerequisites. I swear I did more than study. Really, I did! But it was such a huge part of my life for the past few years, it's weird to not be worried about some upcoming assignment or exam.
I think that I'm going to be taking after zee and cleaning my entire apartment soon. And maybe relax with some good Netflix, puppy cuddle time, and delicious food tonight!

That is SO true! With no more studying to do, I feel like I don't know what to do with my time. It's so weird NOT to have something I need to study. I guess we'll get used to it pretty soon though
