San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2011

Just wanted to start a thread for the Fall 2011 SJC applicants to the ADN Program. I am eagerly awaiting the application period. Have any of you applied to other schools nearby?

I did not know that you were able to check to see if you're transcript records had been pulled. I just checked sos and mine had been. Don't know if that is a good sign, but I am looking forward to finding out something either way.

In case you are wondering about my stats

my GPA is 3.87 and my hesi I took 2 times

the first score was a 81 and the second time I retook math and vocabulary and it was a 96 in both so i am not sure of my accumulative score on that. (the nursing department keep changing their minds on re-taking certain sections but when I turned it in they said it was fine).

My transcripts were also pulled today by the nursing dept!!! I am getting excited :) I cant wait to find out... All this anxiety and stress waiting to find out is ruthless

Hey everyone! I haven't been on in a while, but I read everyone's posts and found out some interesting stuff!! First I wanna say that the HESI info posted earlier was a HUGE help on the test!!! I ended up taking the HESI twice because I RAN OUT OF TIME!! I couldn't believe it! I took my sweet time answering all questions, re-reading everything, and I ran out time right before finishing the personality profile and learning style tests! I was so upset, but it was my own fault because I stayed up waaayyy too late the night before the test and I was like a zombie taking the test with no sleep from about 3 nights before. I re-took the test and did much better on most of it except the reading comp.. that was a lot tougher than version 1 for me. I just checked to see if my transcripts had been pulled and nothing so far :( I hope that just means that they haven't gotten to me yet since I turned my app in a day before the deadline, or maybe because my last name is towards the end of the alphabet??? My heart drops everytime I hear the email notfication on my cell phone!!! Oh, by the way, for anyone who doesn't get accepted, I was told that the background check is good for one year, but the drug test has to be re-taken. Good luck to everyone!!!!!

mine were pulled April 16th. I submitted my app on April 1st

has anyone heard any news yet? on san jacs web site it says average reply time time till letters go out is 3-4 weeks and were at the 3 week mark?? ... this waiting is going to drive me crazy

someone earlier in this thread said that they spoke to the nursing department and they don't expect to start notifying until end of June-mid July.

fall 2009 group had the first notifications on July 9th

another groups started going out on June 24th, I was hoping that that would be the case. Has anyone spoke to the nursing department?

were the notifications on june 24th rejection lettersor acceptance emails? also did anyone get an email confirming they recieved yor packet?

I never received anything stating they received my packet (but either have any of the other potential nursing students I have talked to). I just talked to the nursing department, and was told they would start sending out acceptance letters via email early to mid July
