San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2011

Published

Just wanted to start a thread for the Fall 2011 SJC applicants to the ADN Program. I am eagerly awaiting the application period. Have any of you applied to other schools nearby?

Unfortunately yes....I will accept San Jacinto if I get in.... I know its a real shoddy thing to do, but unfortunately I don't have much choice in the matter. I may have to start the fall semester at San Jac before I know for sure if I am in UTMB. If that is that case I plan on attending the fall semester to get a head start on UTMB for the Spring.

I hate to sound selfish, but in the world of applying for nursing school its a dog eat dog kind of world.

I gotcha. It really sucks that it's that way but we've all gotta do what we've gotta do.

has anyone heard anything?

Not yet. Doubtfull it will be this early. Give it at least til mid June, then you may start getting some onesies and twosies.

uh...this is driving me crazy already...hasnt even been a full week lol

No news yet? I wonder when the first letters will go out... hmmm,

Well we are only 2 weeks in...I heard it will be at least 4-6 weeks before we hear anything. You can log onto SOS and check transcripts requests if you attend San Jac and see if they have pulled your transcript yet. I checked and nothing yet for me.

Where did you find out about that? what does it mean I wonder if they pull your transcripts?

I read about it on this forum in a previous San Jacinto's nursing program thread.

I am sure they pull transcripts from their school. They require any and all other transcripts to be delivered to San jac prior to applying....otherwise it would be 'we take your word for it' when it comes to GPA and pre-req grades. Like me, San Jacinto is the only college I have attended so I have no other transcripts but that one. I am sure the rubric scores are recalculated by themselves for added accuracy as well

Yes I know why they need a copy of transcripts... I guess what I meant is if they pull your transcripts that means your at least being considered which is a good sign I would think

I saw that thread as well from 2009

they were getting "we have recieved your application to the program" emails..I wonder if they still do that
