San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2011

I looked into applying to Lonestar but I do not have all As like they requested for the pre-requisites. I took English and Psych back in 2000 so I only have Bs in those classes and won't be able to get in. I looked into SJC and all my classes seem to transfer and you don't have to have a 4.0 to get in.

I will soon be applying for this program. I take my HESI exam on May 11th and am a bit nervous about it. I will also be applying to UTMB for the Spring 2012 BSN program and COM Fall 2011 ADN program.

Anyone know how long it takes to hear back after the June 1st deadline???

It takes 4-6 weeks.

Hello All! I am applying to San Jac for the fall. I will be taking the HESI in May. I'm a little nervous about the Science. I took the reading and math for Lonestar in '09 so I'm more prepared for those. I also applied to COM and Alvin.

I applied to Alvin as well. Welcome, and good luck. The science is a little tricky. Just study hard and try to remember your A&P classes! :up:

Has anyone transfered from ACC and tried to get into the nursing program at San Jac? I am going through the Enrollment Services and the Nursing Department to see if my Anatomy and Physio will transfer. San Jacinto has AP I&II while ACC splits them up into Anatomy and Physio. I signed up to take the HESI on May 18th but don't see the point in applying to San Jac if they do not transfer.

Hi everyone! I will be applying for the fall also and all i can say is IM STRESSED! lol just bc of the unknown for next semester. Anyone taken the HESI and have study advise? I take it for the 2nd time on the 18th...I did fairly well the first go round but just barely missed passing the AP section. I took it before I had AP2 so im hoping that was my issue and will have no problem this go round.

any study suggestions for HESI #2?

I took it in Feb. Just make sure that you are very comfy with the vocab and how they are used in sentences.

Im good with vocab and all the english and reading. Its the science section that terrifies me...

Yeah, there was a bit that was not really covered in the book or AP 1-2. Kinda hit or miss really. I had not taken micro yet though. So some of that info was in my micro class.
