Just wanted to start a thread for the Fall 2011 SJC applicants to the ADN Program. I am eagerly awaiting the application period. Have any of you applied to other schools nearby?

Oh I found it rocket Ryder! Thank you! The next class isn't until first week in August. There's one tomorrow in the clear lake area I signed up for. Not as cheap as 25. Its 45 but I'm kind of determined to get my schedule for work because they keep asking.I am Also going to get physical and shots tomorrow. So by Wednesday I'm gonna have all my forms turned in. Hope everyone else is doing ok with their progress! And hopefully the nursing dept gets the second wave out soon!
I applied as well but my last name starts with an R. I was wondering if I had a good chance at being accepted...my cumulative gpa is 3.84 and my average score on the hesi was an 80. I failed the a&p portion. I am on the dean's list and I joined Phi Theta Kappa. I applied any way because of my gpa...
Hello to all of the stressed applicants. I just wanted to affirm Ms.Newby's posting that we are working very, very hard to get all of the application letters sent out as quickly as possible. We had a large amount of applicants, numurous tech issues and delays to overcome and are aware that you are anxious. If you have not recieved a response (either accepted or declined) by Friday, July 22 I would call the Nursing office, but not before that date.
One last thing- please be certain to get the correct CPR course. It must be American Heart Association, not Red Cross or any other affiliation. I will post more information (as will Ms. Newby) once all the letters are sent out if students feel this would be a good place for us to post information. Please let me know if you think it will help.
Sincerely,

Yes, thank you so much for posting info! I do believe a majority of applicants are on this site. I know some just check in for info and do not post. We will certainly appreciate any info we can get as we are all on the edge of our seats...well, those of us that were "blessed" with last names N-Z
Just so you guys know, I told my daughter to add MUST HAVE LAST NAME THAT BEGINS WITH A to her "Characteristics of a Good Husband" list.
I used to be a "P" last name...I never knew how bad off i had it until I got married and became a "B". It is soooooo nice sometimes. My husband told me about how this would affect me before we got married but I had no real idea until now. He used to be an "M" but changed his name before his first marriage to reflect his stepfather's lastname. I think its funny...
Congrats to everyone who has made it so far and hopefully all you 'higher up in the alphabet' last names find out soon! I can't imagine the anxiety you must bee feeling...
