Just wanted to start a thread for the Fall 2011 SJC applicants to the ADN Program. I am eagerly awaiting the application period. Have any of you applied to other schools nearby?

yup titers too....If you dont have insurance for vaccinations, harris county has immunization clinics that are super cheap and based on income. I think I paid $4 for each trip. They don't do titers though. They may do them at the clinic that San jac refers to for the drug screen at a reduced rate, but I am not sure. I do plan on finding out though. I will need my 2nd dose of hep A in August then my titer a month later.....
I have insurance, but not really sure on what it will or won't cover. Wonder if I could still go there for cheap. I know it doesn't cover any of the hep (a or b) shots because they are not considered nessesary. Not sure on titers either I'm going to have to look into that. Thanks again for the info!
Titerers to, I thought you only needed those if you didn't have proof of shot records ... do they think we are made of money lol, wonder what that'll cost.
Hi, I went to Pearland County Health Clinic and they gave me the Hep B for free. I don't have medical insurance right now because I am a full-time student. I heard we have to be insured while in the program, does San Jac have insurance available through them, once in the program? Anyone know?? Thanks!
As a friendly FYI, those in the nursing department are just as anxious to finish the application period as all of you are. Please be patient. As far as I know, no emails will be sent out today. I will try to divulge whatever else I can glean from the admissions committee.
Thanks for letting us know. I can stop refreshing the email lol. ANY info helps!
Well I was realy hoping it would be today, but I'm sure the nursing department wants it done as well. Can you imagine that many students wanting to know the outcome of their future ... can only guess their phones are ringing off the hook, and only to be done all over again in 6 months. What mkes it harder however, is that half the students already know. (And congrats to those who do!!)
