rocket ryder i just want to say that i think you did the sensible thing!

I dont think you should feel bad for covering your bases. I mean say you start one of these programs and then dont get into utmb, then you saved a semester that you wouldve been doing what? just waiting?

and lets say if you do? you at least have some class knowledge from this program that you can put towards your studies at utmb.not credits but knowledge.

Now just decide which program COM or SJ is right for you

Victorialee: lets just see what the results are before we stress out! :) im sure everything will turn out ok. At least youre alive and living and trying to better yourself!

Update on my end: Doing CPR class tonight. and went and got physical done today. waiting on lab results and stuff and should get that back in a couple days.

I do understand where you are coming from...and I DO feel bad about it but all in all I rightfully gained my spot so it is mine to do what I so please with it. Nursing school is a dog eat dog world. You can call me selfish, but I intend on seeing it as covering my own behind.
I know it sounds harsh...and TRUST ME If I could change it I would. I am sorry but I will not sacrifice a spot for myself in order to assure an 'alternate' a position when a spot in my top choice school is uncertain.... What you are incinuating is for me to decline both offers I have and simply HOPE to get into UTMB....If I don't get in then I am stuck without any program at all! Call it an insurance policy if you will. Afterall that is the reason I applied to all 3 to begin with! I do have morals and am a human being with care and compassion for others....but I must put myself first in this certain situation.
So... as it stands I will be making a decision to start San Jac or COM and will decline the other in enough time for that 2nd spot to be filled....

You shouldn't feel bad about the decision you make...after all, that is why you applied to all three schools. I would feel the same way as you if I had those decisions to make. You are the one who worked this hard to get to where you are! It is actually not your fault at all. The process is not the greatest. UTMB doesn't let anyone know until AFTER classes have started for other schools. It is a difficult decision to make, but if UTMB is your first choice, then you have to do what you feel is the right move for you! Good luck to you and I hope it works out for you!

I am so happy, now it is time to celebrate. For those who haven't heard anything yet, remember it doesn't mean that you won't. I'm sure they will continue to work on it. There are also people who will decline their spot, which will open up some more. CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who is in so far!

I've heard of other classes starting Facebook pages.... has anyone done this yet?? I have no idea how it works, lol... I'M SO READY TO CELEBRATE!!! Man, I hope that nobody on here gets stuck waiting after tonight!!! If you're still waiting, keep your head up... if it's meant to be, it will happen :)
