San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2011

Just wanted to start a thread for the Fall 2011 SJC applicants to the ADN Program. I am eagerly awaiting the application period. Have any of you applied to other schools nearby?

What does it mean if your last name starts with an R and you still haven't heard anything??

I don't think it means anything at this point... don't count yourself out until you get a rejection email... until then, there is no way to know for sure what your chances are. Good Luck!!

My gpa is a 3.8 so I was hoping I had a good chance.

ok let me tell you exactly what i made. 87 on hesi ,gpa 3.6, ap1 B, ap2 A, micro B, math A, eng B

The only classes I made b's in were my a&p 1 and 2. Everything else I made an a in. My hesi I got an 80 in, which was a point higher than the class average...

I haven't heard of anyone getting a rejection email... For anyone still waiting... My last name starts with an R & I got a call to verify my email address at 6:55pm. Nursingstudent0835 has last name N, and got an email at 7:15pm... I don't think they're going in order by last name anymore. So far only 2 of us have posted that we've been accepted today. I'm sure there's still much more to come. I would compare your scores with anyone else that's previously posted theirs on this site, and see how you measure up. If you're scores are close to ours, then you still have hope, and you should start looking into getting your shots & physical.

I'm so sorry to all that are still waiting... I know it was HELL for me.

whats making this EXTREMELY frustrating is comparing and seeing that I have better grades,GPA, and HESI score than most of the people who are already getting letters! I sure hope the program is more organized than the way they have done this. Dont most schools send out letters all at once or maybe in two batches? This is just crazy. Sorry...just venting a little :confused:

I am not surprised to the fact that some students who did the hesi exam once (first attempt), passing all the sections with high grades, with good gpa, has not gotten acceptance email or phone calls. The admission criteria is favorable and unfavorable to some. Besides, the world is not fair. They "love'" and prefer some people. Don't give up. What will be will be. Somewhere, some place, your talent and intelligence will be needed.
