San Jacinto College ADN Fall 2011

Just wanted to start a thread for the Fall 2011 SJC applicants to the ADN Program. I am eagerly awaiting the application period. Have any of you applied to other schools nearby?

last fall semester it was July 31..im thinking it might be August 1 thats a Monday

I just talked to the nursing department to see if they had a date for orientation set yet, and I was told they don't have that set yet. Acceptance letters will go out the second week in July, and that will have all the information needed in it.

Seems a little odd that acceptance letters go out next week but they don't have the orientation date set yet....

Does anyone know what an average day would be like once classes start?trying to work out my schedule ...

That's the same thing that I thought, but wasn't going to argue with them. I wanted the date to make sure it won't mess up my vacation. I'll be gone from the 25th to the 30th, and knew that previous years its been set for that time. This is assuming I get in of course!

we decided to blow off a vaca this year JUST because i didnt want to end up having to miss it bc of orientation. I really think this whole last minute process stinks! BUT i guess its just giving us a little taste of what our lives may be like for the next two years.

crossing my fingers that next week will be a GOOD week!

yes! it kind of makes you wonder how organized that whole program is...unfortunitely, something we wont find out until we get in!

@ nursingstudent0835 did they say if they have sent out rejection letters already? I thought it would be emails? are they sending printed letters only this semester?

It will be emails, and they aren't supposed to be sending out rejection letters until they fill the program up.

just heard someone else called this morning and they told them that it would be another three weeks before we knoe anything...i sure wish they would get their timeline straight!
