I haven't yet seen a forum for this cohort yet and I wanted to start one! Applications are due soon and wanted to see how others are going along with the process and see if theres any advice or recommendations that anyone has. This could be with the application, interviews, pre-reqs, HESI, etc. I appreciate those who comment and add to the forum!
A little about me: originally from NYC moved out to Oakland in 2015. I worked in Urgent Care, and have volunteer work during Covid-19. Finishing up a few pre-reqs now and hopefully will have them done in time for the application due date Dec 1st. Let me know if there are any other questions for me, I am very interested to see the backgrounds of others who are also applying, its a stressful but exciting time for everyone! ?

Thank you @FutureNP90! Yes, last cycle I didn't get into FNP and got interviewed and waitlisted for CM. Did you apply to both programs as well? Have you heard back from CM, if so. Last cycle, I applied for Sacramento location and didn't hear back from FNP until Sept 30th with the unfortunate news. Hopefully you get an interview soon!! Hope that helps!

I only applied to FNP, for some reason I thought that you could only apply to one cohort at a time LOL.

I emailed Samuel Merritt in regards to application status/update and was provided with the following answer:

You're welcome. In my email I mentioned that I applied to the FNP program. But I didn't ask specifically for FNP. I think they probably assumed I'm asking for FNP ?
Thank you for keeping us updated on your statuses! It's been really helpful with easing the anxiety knowing we're all in this together. Hopefully we can hear back about interviews by next week since it doesn't seem like we will be hearing anything today!
I was waitlisted #5 for FNP last year & interview invites went out last year today w/ interviews being held the first week of March. So I feel like we should be hearing back shortly!
Im a reapplicant and hoping to make it in this cycle! I got an interview coming up soon and wanted to know if anyone else also got one! Last time I interviewed and was placed on a waitlist #17 and unfortunately didn't make it. ?Hopefully I make it in this time. I applied to both CM and FNP and got an interview for CM, haven't heard anything about the FNP. Goodluck to us all!
Were you waitlisted for CM for the Sac campus? I didn't know they had such a long waiting list for it! Do you happen to know how many people got in off the waiting list?

Yes I was waitlisted for sac campus. Yeah the waitlist was 19 people total and I left off at number 7 so they took in 10 people from the waitlist. Thank you!! Hoping you make it in as well!
Happy Monday morning everyone! Fellow FNP applicant here, and my first post to this thread. Maybe some more emails will go out this week! I just wanted to say good luck to everybody who applied to any track this cycle, at Samuel Merritt and elsewhere. Keep breathing and doing the good work I'm sure you're all out there doing. I hope to meet some of you in the coming years, and I hope you stay safe and healthy until then.
I'm anxious too ? but I think they have yet to send any out. So far no one has said they received an email yet for the FNP track so it might be around the corner!
