I haven't yet seen a forum for this cohort yet and I wanted to start one! Applications are due soon and wanted to see how others are going along with the process and see if theres any advice or recommendations that anyone has. This could be with the application, interviews, pre-reqs, HESI, etc. I appreciate those who comment and add to the forum!
A little about me: originally from NYC moved out to Oakland in 2015. I worked in Urgent Care, and have volunteer work during Covid-19. Finishing up a few pre-reqs now and hopefully will have them done in time for the application due date Dec 1st. Let me know if there are any other questions for me, I am very interested to see the backgrounds of others who are also applying, its a stressful but exciting time for everyone! ?

It's overwhelming to think that interviews are in 2 weeks and we will find out by the end of the month, and FNP haven't heard back yet. I'm biting my nails, everything is going to happen very quickly. CM interviews are next week!

I wonder why they're taking so much time to let us know if CM programs have already sent out emails!!
ALSO have any of you received ANY emails about FNP? I applied to the ABSN program and I've received an email about moving to phase 2. But I haven't received any updates for FNP yet. Just wanted to know if I'm in the same boat as anyone ?

I am literally on the same boat as you Lmao.. I applied to both ABSN and FNP, but have only heard back about moving to phase 2 for ABSN

none here ? I don't think any FNP students have heard back yet. Odds are at least one of us would've heard back if they were sent out. Sucky thing is we haven't heard back yet and don't know when we will, at least the good thing is we all haven't heard back yet still giving us all a shot haha

I didn't get into the ABSN program because one of my classes was not from an accredited university so now I really need to find out if I have a chance with the EL-MSN program so I know if I should apply again and retake the class. Ahhh the wait is killing me! LOL

True! That might mean that we're all getting a shot! I'm also hoping to hear something today. The waiting game is so awful.
Phase 2 just means that they are reviewing my application, academics, letters, etc. They look at every application in phases. I'm sure they are doing the same for FNP

Aw man, Im sorry you didn't get into the ABSN program, at least you are still in the running for this cohort! Which class, was it patho or pharm? If so, I hear you! Those classes are expensive because you have to take them at specific schools in order for them to transfer to SMU.

Has everyone here mostly applied for the ELMSN FNP? I applied to both and only got an interview for CM so far. Any other CM program peers? ?
