Samuel Merritt ELMSN Sacramento 2011

Hey everyone- I thought it was time to start a new thread for the up and coming applicant pool for the ELMSN Sacramento cohort 2011. Five months until applications are due and it doesn't hurt to start communicating with one another already. I met with the admissions counselor last week and she gave me many pointers on how to strengthen my application. Can't wait to hear from some others out there who will be in it with me for the remainder of the year hoping to get into SMU.

Did they give you any other information? ?

I'm waitlisted too. I'm just relieved to know and I got a very nice pep talk from my husband. Just the same, I'm thinking that my chances of getting to the top are slim this year. Congratulations to everyone who made it in, and good luck to my fellow waitlisters.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all your support, and in a sad way, it's nice to know we're all in this together. I hope we get lucky, and the waitlist moves a lot, but we'll just have to wait and see! Hang in there everyone, things have a way of working out in the end, even if it's not the way you expect or hope for. Best of luck!!

Good luck to everyone who was admitted! For those of you who are on the waitlist, what number are you? Did LO discuss the chances of getting into the program? I was waitlisted too, I am just wondering what my chance are of actually getting into the program.

I got a cal late last night, Chicago time that i'm prolly last on the waitlist and she said that there were so many qualifiied people and I was one of them. That anything can happen because a lot of people applied to multiple programs. I didn't get a chance to ask her how many were accepted or put on the list, but i'm sure I'm close to the bottom at 18.

------- told me that there are 22 people on the waitlist, and that in the past the first 5-8 people usually make it off the waitlist.

I just found out that Patho and Pharma classes that I am currently taking will not be credited for elmsn.

I was hoping to save $$ and just audit these classes at SM.

Since I also applied to ABSN as well, I needed these classes for pre-req.

BTW, ABSN calls from sac are going out. I received the call and I am also accepted to ABSN.

So, for those who are on the waitlist, your number may move up if some people decide to move from elmsn to ABSN program. (I am staying with elmsn)

LO, the admission counselor told me this afternoon. I asked her about it when she called me about the ABSN admission. She said that SM's patho and pharma classes will be more intensive so we have to take them at SM.
