Hey everyone- I thought it was time to start a new thread for the up and coming applicant pool for the ELMSN Sacramento cohort 2011. Five months until applications are due and it doesn't hurt to start communicating with one another already. I met with the admissions counselor last week and she gave me many pointers on how to strengthen my application. Can't wait to hear from some others out there who will be in it with me for the remainder of the year hoping to get into SMU.

That's weird they've let people audit patho and pharma before. I wonder what changed?

It probably changed because too many students have been auditing these classes and they took just as much time/resource as those who were paying for the full price. :D

But I am sure that they will address this issue at the orientation.

I am taking both classes through Santa Barbara City college's online program and she knows this. (These were approved classes for ABSN pre-req)

These classes are very informative and relevant to healthcare professionals.

However, they are not very intensive.

Maybe if these classes are more intensive, 'auditing' may be possible (??)

I am still going to go through with both classes since they are useful and interesting.

The information from these classes are foundation so more is better for us.

Does anyone else want to approach her about it and let us know if 'auditing' is possible for some situation?

As of last friday, I'm #1. I got accepted to the ABSN, but i'm going to hold off for the ELMSN.

SWEET! That makes me #2. Lemme know okay? I really want to get a refund on the patho class I am in if I do not need it. It would be like $1000 refund plus not having to do all this work for nothing.

I also got accepted to the ABSN, and as of yesterday there was no movement on the waitlist for the ELMSN FNP side.

Ilnurse- if you pay your deposit for the ABSN and get that going can it transfer over to the ELMSN program if you end up getting in?

I"m pretty sure i heard something about the deposit being able to transfer. I bet the waitlisted people hear something today or tomorrow, the ABSN acceptance deadline was yesterday
