I noticed threads for other Samuel Merritt campuses and semesters but not the ABSN program that starts January 2010 in San Mateo. I was a little discouraged to read all of the frustrations of the San Francisco campus for fall. San Mateo is my #1 choice and it was only between that and Sac for winter semester. I'm wondering if there is anyone else who applied for 2010 in either campus. From what I gathered from other posts it takes about 3-4 months to get a reply? Its gonna be a looong wait! Who's waiting with me?

I was wait-listed to as well as you marie and have not yet received my sequence number. Has anyone been given there sequence number? When you spoke with SMU did they give you an estimate of when we will be notified of this information. Right now i'm trying to decide if I should give up hope at this point for this cohort and aim for the next one......

They have not yet set the start/end dates of the program. I emailed Euginia about this and she said that it would be posted on the website as soon as it is set.
I received the wait list notice via email as well. I do not have a sequence order yet. I'm curious if that means I'm that low on the list. A previous entry mentioned they were 10 so they must have a list already right???
Anyone get their sequence order after the initial email? How long until we find out?
From what I've read in the other Samuel Merritt threads, the school starts tapping into the waitlist about a month after the first acceptances go out. People who are accepted have to send in deposits and they'll know who's serious about attending once the deposits are in.

I was wondering the same thing, whats your number on the waitlist? I am no 5. I hope we know something soon...
According to the San Francisco group, people on the waitlist seemed to hear about 1 month after the initial group was notified they were accepted. So I'd say we should start hearing in early November.
I can tell you from experience that the start date is USUALLY the first Monday after the New Year's holiday.
Also, pelple pull out of the class up until the day of orientation...sometimes up until the first day of school. It didn't happen in the Sacramento ABSN class last year, but it did in the ELMS.
The Sacramento ABSN class did have a girl who was accepted from the waitlist mid-November last year.
What do you mean that in the past they picked 40 spots?...like they actually took 40 wait listed people into the program? If thats the case, then oh my!...i may have a shot (#24)
In Sacramento, the program is for 32 students. I do not know about San Mateo. Last year, Sacramento was involved in a pilot program, so the class was actually comprised of 40 students. Hope that helps.
