I noticed threads for other Samuel Merritt campuses and semesters but not the ABSN program that starts January 2010 in San Mateo. I was a little discouraged to read all of the frustrations of the San Francisco campus for fall. San Mateo is my #1 choice and it was only between that and Sac for winter semester. I'm wondering if there is anyone else who applied for 2010 in either campus. From what I gathered from other posts it takes about 3-4 months to get a reply? Its gonna be a looong wait! Who's waiting with me?
I got the call today that I was accepted! I was #12 on the waitlist so I was not sure if I would get in but I am so happy that I did! I will see you all for orientation on Thursday and Friday! Also, is anyone relocating and looking for a roommate? I am relocating from Southern California so I need somewhere and someone to live with, I have looked on Craigs List but I would prefer to live with a fellow nursing student. I have furniture and everything so let me know if you are interested. Send me a pm. Thank you!

Congrats Ashley. you can join the facebook group for Spring 2010 and look there for students who are locating. I know of one lady locating from southern Ca and was looking for a roommate.
Those of you who applied and got into Samuel Merritt ABSN, did anyone take online courses for anatomy and physiology? If so, where did you take it? thank you!
Hi, was it difficult to enroll in the Patho and Pharma classes? I'll be a brand new student so registration date is probably bottom of the barrel. Thanks.

You can take patho and pharm at santa barbara CC and pharm at barstow CC. Samuel Merritt's website has a link of approved places to take the courses, there are other calif. community colleges that offer it online. Barstow offers Pharm pretty frequently, you may be able to sign up for for a class that starts within the next month.

Hi! I got into the Jan 2011 class and was wondering how busy is that first Monday start date? I ask because I have an important project at work and was hoping to go to work after the first day of class. Can someone let me know how the first day is?
