Hey everyone!
For those who have applied or are interested in applying to Rush University's Generalist Entry Master's (GEM) Program, I'm here starting a thread so that we can get to know one another and keep each other informed throughout the application process.
I submitted my application December 20th through NursingCAS and completed the supplemental application on the morning of December 21st.
I was e-mailed almost 3 hours after I submitted my supplemental application for an invite to interview for the month following the application deadline (February) since the deadline is January 4th.
Has anyone else already received an invite for an interview?
I'm coming from Bay Area CA, so I'm hesitant as I'm quite unfamiliar with the area. I've heard Chicago is an awesome city to live in, so please feel free to chime in on your experiences with this area as well as I'd love to hear about it. Also, if there are any people currently going through this program, any comments/advice would be much appreciated!
Thank you all and GOOD LUCK!!!
VPET I honestly think they knew they didn't have any spots available and pulled people that they had on previous wait lists from previous semesters.I had the same qualifications as you. Still waiting on DePaul but I think I may stay and do the one year program here in philly! I have till may 11th to post my deposit.
OMG, I got waitlisted, too!
Congrats KO_1219! You've been accepted to many programs, haven't you? Which one have you decided to go to?
outsiderr, that's not a bad ranking number. You might still get in! I was told by the interviewer that they stop giving guarantees to higher ranked waitlists for the next semester.
vpet & ekells, I'm close in the ranking number with you guys. I'm no. 31... Yeah, I feel that that's just being told, "No". I only have my eye on Rush, so I would probably apply for the spring of 2017....
Good luck to you all with whatever paths you're going to choose.

If you are wait listed it means that they would take you but there are other applicants who have better credentials...
i applied to UIC as well and won't know until April. I might apply to rush for spring and become a CNA over the summer and work to gain experience etc...
