Hey everyone!
For those who have applied or are interested in applying to Rush University's Generalist Entry Master's (GEM) Program, I'm here starting a thread so that we can get to know one another and keep each other informed throughout the application process.
I submitted my application December 20th through NursingCAS and completed the supplemental application on the morning of December 21st.
I was e-mailed almost 3 hours after I submitted my supplemental application for an invite to interview for the month following the application deadline (February) since the deadline is January 4th.
Has anyone else already received an invite for an interview?
I'm coming from Bay Area CA, so I'm hesitant as I'm quite unfamiliar with the area. I've heard Chicago is an awesome city to live in, so please feel free to chime in on your experiences with this area as well as I'd love to hear about it. Also, if there are any people currently going through this program, any comments/advice would be much appreciated!
Thank you all and GOOD LUCK!!!
You guys are so lucky to know you have been accepted to some other programs. I applied to 3, but haven't heard from any of them yet. Most likely I will get the decision from Rush first (...and anything else won't matter anymore) or maybe they all come at about the same time. I wish it was done already!
The waiting game sure is tough vpet!!! Including Rush, I'm still waiting on five programs. At least you can for sure expect an answer sometime this Friday from Rush. I also wish it was all done already!! At least you didn't have to fork over a tuition deposit yet. So far, I've paid one but will most likely not attend that program due to receiving an acceptance at one of my top choices . It's all good though. Time is gonna fly like it usually does and soon enough, we'll all be starting in our prospective programs
I do have to agree KO_1219. The waiting game is the most tedious part. I think a lot of us have felt very uneasy after they announced the new acceptance rate of 72 students out of 197 interviewees. That definitely makes the acceptance rate much lower compared to what it was before. I have been accepted to one that was in my choices here in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson, but am anxiously awaiting my top choice at Rush. I am starting to become more an more nervous and this week is even worse because I know that Friday will be here right around the corner. I like your positive thinking. I have been more positive myself, but am still very uneasy.
hey, guys! I am checking to see how everyone is doing..., if anyone is as nervous as I am!! I know Friday is just 4 days away, and the closer it got, the more nervous I've become!!
Congrats to those who already received acceptances to different programs! I didn't apply anywhere else... The statistic on their website was much better until we found out that they had interviewed almost double the number of candidates this time around. My interviewer also informed me that there are 4 students who took leaves of absence taking the spots, so we actually just have 68 spots.... darn...
I agree with, you CoreyAlan, let's stay positive!!

@Dikid: I think that Molly said at the First Look that she would be emailing out the decisions in the afternoon.
