Hi everyone!
I saw a couple of thread regarding Roseman's nursing program but most of them are dated from 2012 or so. Anyways, I was curious if there is anyone currently in the 18 month program and how do they like it so far. I'm going to be starting there this August and just wanted to hear from current students.
Here's how it works in ABSN cohorts: You take the midterm and pass, you move on to the final. If you take the final and pass, you move on to clinicals. You usually get a few days off before clinicals because people have to super remediate and they will have to do a review for the super remediation the day before.
If you don't pass the midterm, you have to remediate. If you pass the remediation you move on to the final. If you fail the remediation, you have to super-remediate, regardless of how you do on the final. The super-remediation is comprehensive covering material from the midterm and the final. If you don't pass the final and you fail the remediation, you have to super-remediate. If you fail super remediation you are dismissed from the program and you have to either do something else or reapply to the cohort that is behind you(something like 3 months behind or something).
We're almost to the end and only one person has failed out of didactic and one person failed because of clinicals.
Good day :)
Yes! Currently in block 3 clinicals. I love my cohort, we're all team players. As far as I know,we're also all eager to learn so I feel like we motivate each other to get through each block.
Theres a few things I would change about how things are run, but other than that, I'm very glad I chose Roseman.
Hopefully I see you around next year :)
Im not sure if anybody still checks on this forum but I have a question about the interview process! I have an interview tomorrow for the ABSN -Feb cohort.. how was the interview process like? does it really take 4-5 hrs? I have an exam for my other classes at NSC at 530 and it says on the email they sent us, the interview is from 1 to 5pm. Any input would be helpful!
I interviewed on January 11th at the Henderson campus. Honestly, I thought I did good but now I feel like I answered the questions too fast. Now I'm "patiently" waiting for the result on the 27th if I'm in or not. I'm just worried that my teas score might be a problem. My GPA is 3.6. But I don't know how they accept students. Does it all comes down to the GPA? I passed btw but it's not that hot of a score. I just want to know how low of a teas score do they consider to be accepted in the program? Any comments are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If you don't need to super remediate then that is your vacation time :) If you do super remediate, the remediation period is for making up clinicals.
