    NSC SUMMER 2018 hopefuls

Hello there! I just applied for the 2018 summer program at NEVADA STATE COLLEGE and I was just wondering if there's anyone here that is also on the same boat as me. The waiting game is real intense and I cannot wait until we receive that letter in the mail! The lady from SON said it'll take about 3-4 weeks after the deadline which was jan 19. Goodluck to us and can't wait to start this next chapter of our lives!

    NSC SPRING 2018 hopefuls

Oh nvm, sorry I got confused with the numbers. I just checked on canvas and it actually shows HIT 118B (Language of Medicine) is the class that I am currently taking, at first HIT 117B was the class that I registered for but they actually advised me to take HIT118B instead since that's the equivalent of their NURS 140. Thanks for the concern though! Appreciate it!

Hmmm I hope they won't let me retake it because I made sure that Hit117B is the equivalent of their Nurs 140. Oh and thats what im taking right now im almost done with it too But ill give them a call again just to confirm. When did you learn that information?

    NSC SPRING 2018 hopefuls

They said the deadline is January for summer 2018. The deadline for speing 2018 is around december. They'll usually post the dates on their website as it get closer to the deadline. Oh and Unlv wasn't an option for me bc there are more prerequisites that they are asking for plus its more expensive as far as tuition and they dont take the teas exam they only accept HESI.

Hmmm i dont know about that but my advisor from nsc told me that info herself. Summer track is basically full time bc you start from summer 2018 and finish summer of 2019

NSC is about the same you can't apply to the program with more than 12 credits left. That being said they still want you to finish all the prereqs before you apply to the program. In my case I want to apply for summer 2018 because it only takes 15 months rather than applying for spring 2018 it's 2 years with summer break. When I finish my fall 2017 classes I can apply to the spring 2018 program in december(deadline) or I can apply in the summer 2018 in january 2018 (deadline). Which means that the application for the program starts in january for summer 2018. I think i'll just apply to the summer term only bc I would still finish faster even if I get in to the spring track. Oh congrats on your twins btw! I have a daughter too she's 5 now so it's a little easier for me. I still feel guilty at times, since Studying takes so much time! But it will all be worth it in the end since you're doing it all for them! I recommened you to see a nursing program advisor so you can see where you're at and have a better understanding of the requirements.

AP2 was a little more difficult for me than AP1 and Micro was easier to comprehend than the two. I no longer work so I have more time on my hands. For me it's definitely doable but I wouldn't recommend it to someone that has a job. It's not that hard but its just the pressure and stress that gets to you. I had Ap2 on MON/WED class while Micro on a TUES/THURS class. When I have an exam for Ap2 i'll have a lab quiz for micro and another exam the next week. It was so overwhelming! You really just have to manage your time and take good notes and great professors! I always check my profs on ratemyprof first lol. My micro class professor was the best that's probably why I felt it was easier than Ap2. I took both at CSN btw. And I was able to manage to get an A- on both while taking an online class which was anthropology. I'm taking Chem 112 right now at NSC, med term online at csn this summer. Nutrition, patho and spanish is all I have left for Fall.

Oh okay I know exactly who that prof is. I wanted to take her bc she had great reviews but she wasn't listed to teach this summer only for Fall. The one that I will be taking is the only lady that teaches chem at night time. It's starts from 5:30-9:15pm. I hope she's good although she didn't have any reviews on ratemyprof yet. Oh and I start class today btw! Not too excited about the drive since I'm coming from Centennial Hills. It's probably 30-40mins drive lol. Anyway, Congrats on the Teas! You'll get in for sure!

Oh that's awesome! Can you message me the name of ur professor privately? Since you can't post it on here. Thank God I'm done with teas. I'm sure you'll do great! Goodluck! Lmk if you have questions about the teas exam!

    NSC SPRING 2018 hopefuls

Thank you for the feedback! I already enrolled for patho and chs for fall semester. This summer I finally got bump up from the waitlist for chem 112 so ill be taking that with Med term and Spanish. Do you need to take any more classes? Will you also be applying for spring or summer? I might apply to spring just in case but I really want to get in to the summer program since it's much shorter than spring program

    NSC SPRING 2018 hopefuls

Ohh wow really. They advised me to take patho and chs 421 together in the fall. Are you also applying for the program in spring/summer 2018?
