Roseman University 18-month Program?

U.S.A. Nevada

Hi everyone!

I saw a couple of thread regarding Roseman's nursing program but most of them are dated from 2012 or so. Anyways, I was curious if there is anyone currently in the 18 month program and how do they like it so far. I'm going to be starting there this August and just wanted to hear from current students.

@jiwankaur93 thanks for all your feedback on this program. All in all, how long is the hybrid absn? I have read everything between 15-18 months. Also, how many days a week did you have to be on campus throughout the program?

Hi, I’ve had two daughters go through this program. One graduated four years ago and started working right away, my other daughter is due to graduate in February. Both did the BSN program (face to face classes, not online).

Hi I graduated from the ABSN program in 2017 and am currently working. I was able to get a job offer before I graduated through clinicals and a lot of my classmates did as well! I remember it being 18 months. 2 of my gfs just graduated recently from the ABSN program as well. One is working in CA and the other in LV. I remember someone mentioning that it is now a 16 month program. The block schedule allows you to take most of the classes online, in fact one month a lot of students traveled since we didn’t have to be on campus at all. Clinicals are 3,12 hour shifts and can be 2-4 weeks in length. Many students were able to work as well. It really depends on which block you’re in... some blocks you don’t have to be on campus at all except for SIM lab and tests. Other blocks you do have to be on campus quite a bit. I know a lot has changed since I’ve graduated though.

I have a question from people who are in the program or graduated. How is the P/F grading system going to affect your chances of getting into a respectable graduate school? Are they still not giving letter grades? What GPA do you guys get on your transcript?

I’m not having any issues with grad school. I just applied to SMU for January start date. They aren’t giving out letter grades. It’s a P on the transcript. But at the bottom it says that we must pass with a 90% or more.

I’m not sure. I’d like to know too. My daughter’s cohort found a loop hole where they were the last cohort to receive grades. This was a few years ago. They since have closed that loophole.

@jtrinh3 thanks for all your feedback! Are there any blocks that you have to be there 5 days per week? Did you feel well prepared for the NCLEX post graduation?
