Could some of you share what your experiences have been like going in blind with roommates? I have done it previously for undergrad, but I did not last long. The suite had 4 rooms in it, and it was not too difficult, but we had our moments.
I will be attending a DENP(Direct Entry Nur. Program) out of state, and currently seeking a roommate to cut cost.. At the same token, I am wondering if I should just try a 1bd.

Lots of people room with other nursing students as they understand the work level and getting up for 7am clinicals.

A classmate had roommates. He said everybody respected each other, probably because they were older students who also held jobs.

Fortunately for me at my diploma program, there were enough rooms in dormitory, that not every one had to have a roommate .....we all had essentially the same schedule.....

I shared until I was 27. It changes from when you were 18 and studying and partying to late 20s when it is more about good cheese and wine, shared common areas are clean.
In Ireland and Australia we tend to share until we buy a place and even then I have friends who share after they buy to help with the mortgage.
Thank you all for your comments.. I think that makes sense, that we all are older and share a common goal.
