RN with stipulations looking for work in DFW

Nurses Recovery

Published

Hi, I am new to this site. I am an RN with stipulations looking for a position in DFW. It seems everywhere I interview won’t do stips, even if the hiring managers are fine with it, HR is not. At this point my only stipulation is indirect supervision by another RN, no hospice, no home health, and a quarterly report by my supervisor. I am so very frustrated. Any advice would help.

Please update if you find a job! I recently graduated and am starting off as a nurse on tpapn with no nursing experience. I am looking for work in the dfw area as well!

I sure will. If you are in the DFW area come to Leonard Keesee’s TPAPN support group on Tues nights at 7 at Medical City Green Oaks. It’s an awesome group!

I've applied for pretty much every position that UHS has in this area. Hoping for something. Do you know if the nurse at Kindred had public stips? I didn't think about that being a factor until recently. I have a straight board order. 3 year stipulations. I have worked a year of them off so at this point its just indirect supervision, a quarterly report, and no home health or hospice. Other than that I can do anything anyone else can do. I'm growing increasingly frustrated as this is my 7th week out of work. I want to work more than anything!

Yes, the nurse who worked at Kindred had a public board order. Hang in there!

Last Wed I interviewed for a job with one of the UHS hospitals. They told me in the interview they are stipulation friendly. My status online now shows as “in progress” and I don’t really know what that means. Hopefully I hear something soon!!!

What uhs facility did you interview?

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the same boat: stipulations requiring indirect RN supervision with quarterly evaluations for 2 years, no employment in home health, hospice, or agency. I've read in another forum that dialysis companies are stipulation friendly and so I've applied to a few positions. Has anyone tried med spas, dermatology clinics, or other small private practices?

Also, has anyone applied for graduate school, gotten accepted, and obtained their MSN/DNP/Ph.D after their board orders were completed and licenses unencumbered?

I believe we have at least one member here that completed DNP while IN monitoring!

I have also heard dialysis is monitor friendly, as are LTC facilities (at least in some cities/states).

Good luck!

Wow!! That's amazing! I wish that could be an option for me

Lindsay,

are you able to let me know what UHS hospital you applied and got an interview with?

Did you get a job at a hospital?
