RN with stipulations looking for work in DFW

Nurses Recovery

Published

Hi, I am new to this site. I am an RN with stipulations looking for a position in DFW. It seems everywhere I interview won’t do stips, even if the hiring managers are fine with it, HR is not. At this point my only stipulation is indirect supervision by another RN, no hospice, no home health, and a quarterly report by my supervisor. I am so very frustrated. Any advice would help.

UHS facilities are TPAPN friendly. Google UHS jobs.

Thank you! I had heard that. I interviewed Monday at one of their facilities and am waiting to hear back. I applied for several more of their facilities around the metroplex and hoping to get something. I’m even willing to drive a little. I just need something and soon. Thank you so much for your feedback.

I second UHS. I worked for one in the beginning of my monitoring but did not have public stips, but I worked with other nurses that did.. It can be tough but it is worth it get through what you have to and have a job. I also know a new grad that worked at a Kindred hospitals with stips. So it can be done, even as a new grad. Good luck!

I've applied for pretty much every position that UHS has in this area. Hoping for something. Do you know if the nurse at Kindred had public stips? I didn't think about that being a factor until recently. I have a straight board order. 3 year stipulations. I have worked a year of them off so at this point its just indirect supervision, a quarterly report, and no home health or hospice. Other than that I can do anything anyone else can do. I'm growing increasingly frustrated as this is my 7th week out of work. I want to work more than anything!

Specializes in ICU/community health/school nursing.

Can you do vaccine clinics? School health may also be a possibility if you can administer ritalin-type meds.

Yes. I can do vaccine clinics. School health would be an option and id be interested but my stipulations state that there has to be another RN in the building (indirect supervision) so that may be an issue. And yes I can administer controlled medicines.

Where did you work before now?

I worked the first year of my board order at a skilled nursing facility doing wound care. I had found a very caring and understanding director of nursing who was willing to hire me. The company got bought out and was not stipulation friendly.

Before that I have worked in ER and med-surg.

I applied for some more positions with UHS. I really hope I get something!

Well poop. Usually you're the only nurse in the building as a school nurse. Best of luck!!!

Please update if you find a job! I recently graduated and am starting off as a nurse on tpapn with no nursing experience. I am looking for work in the dfw area as well!
