RN with stipulations looking for work in DFW
Doing clinical research in oncology. A lot to learn, but I’m happy not to be doing regular nursing.

I took this class. It was in Orlando. The course was quite helpful.

Orlando Tech (LPN Program)
Yes, I agree the program is very disorganized. It's like that the whole way through til graduation. Nevetheless, it prepares you very well (in my opinion). I finished 2008 and I'm trying to get into the bridge program. It was not hard to find a job at all. The last week of school, recruiters come by, and that's how I got my first 2 jobs.

HELP!! TECO,Lincoln Tech,cfinstitute???? Centura, Cambrige??
Well, if you really want to do it that way, go for it. I thought about the MA route, and realized it wasn't worth it. And once you become an LPN, only 1 more year for the RN. With MA, you have to do the whole 2 years. Then you will probably be working full time and not be able to attend RN school. Just think about it...

I would advise you not to do MA. Where I work the MAs get paid $5 less and HOUR than I do (I'm an LPN). Plus they have loans out. Not only that, it's harder to get a job as an MA without experience. Much easier to get a job as an LPN. I think it's so much better to try to wait it out and attend a school for LPN. I went to Orlando Tech. It's a little disorganized, but prepares very well. If you have any questions, please reply...

Daytona state transition program
I read a lot of posts here, but do not post often. I wanted to know if anyone on here has attended the Daytona state transition program (lpn to rn). I want to apply for the January 2011 evening program, but I am unsure of the hours. I just have a few questions for a Daytona state student please!

Orlando Tech (LPN Program)
I've worked as an LPN since I graduated 2008. So almost 2 years. I really like my current job, but feel like I'm not learning as much as I can. Anyways I will just keep trying. Let me know how it goes. Any other questions, I would love to answer...

Where can LPN's work?
I graduated from Orlando Tech 2008. LPN are not usually hired in hospitals in FL. LPN usually work in nursing homes, clinics, dr office, psych (giving med). The year program at Orlando Tech is pretty demanding. I work M-F in a clinic, hrs vary, but I get my 40 hrs. Any more questions?

Orlando Tech (LPN Program)
Good luck on the TEAS. There wasn't a waiting list. They let only 24 students in per semester. My gpa isn't that great. I fooled around a little in the beginning of college. I have an AA at Valencia with only a 2.99/3.0. And my TEAS score isn't that great. I'm stressed. Feel like I'm going to be an LPN forever!
