We all know RN school is hard enough. Some excell in it, some struggle, while others enjoy a challenge. I am starting to think I am going to have to reward myself with something very nice in the END ( graduation). I would like to ask "all nurses " what did you do for yourself, to reward yourself for all the hard work? Something? Anything? Nothing? Take care.:yeah:
I got myself a Littmann Cardiology III, as a graduation gift. After I have my license in hand and a job, I am losing some serious weight, the family is going on a real vacation, and the kids will get a spree at the mall. They have all seriously sacrificed for me, and it is time for all of use to be comfortable.
After that, we will be buying a house, hopefully around 3/2012, so I'll need a full-time position, and some prn, but I am more than willing.
While I studied for the NCLeX, I rented an RV and traveled. Since I knew I would be sitting at home and studying, I decided to get out and see some scenery and study. Being in a different location on a semi-vacation made studying that much easier. I would often set up my collapsible chair and table and study outside. Very nice.

I bought a new car...couldn't believe it. I am typically so thrifty (AKA cheap) that I would only buy used, but I DID need a reliable vehicle that could handle bad weather, right?
After all, nurses can't call off due to weather...(don't you love rationalization?)
