In preparation for getting a BSN, I am trying to gather information regarding online BSN programs. if you have links to what you feel is an affordable, online, no residency requirement program, please post 'em here.
One program that I came across was at Thomas Edison State College. does anyone have any information regarding their program? I was hoping to find someone that has first hand (or second hand ? ) experience with the TESC RN to BSN program as it seems to be an affordable option, which, of course, is always a bonus. from reading the catalog on their site it appears that you can use some of the EC exams to satisfy the upper-level nursing courses.
The TESC program looks pretty decent but I am looking for some feedback to any online rn to BSN program. if anyone has links to what they feel is an affordable online rn/bsn program please post the link here.
Online Nursing Degree Programs at Thomas Edison State University
I have a unique situation. I completed most of the requirements for a bsn before leaving the nursing field. I then came back to nursing and received and asn from a community college. My question is "Are there any online rn to bsn programs that will transfer the core bsn classess that i have already taken. I have taken almost all of the upper level bsn classes however i switched majors at the last semester and since returning have received an asn. Is there an accredited school out there with a liberal credit transfer policy that will accept the bsn credits? Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!
You can read about 20+ different online RN to BSN programs here and see which one looks most appealing to you. The RN-BSN program is very popular so you can find it at almost all schools with nursing departments.
HI everyone,
I need your help! I graduated from an ADN program. I have not taken my nclex yet but I would like to continue my education. Are there any RN-BSN or ADN-BSN online programs out there that are affordable and does not require to be a licensed nurse? Please let me know. Any info is helpful! Thanks!

The answer to your question about RN-to-BSN programs for non-RN's is "no" by definition. There are some programs that allow you to apply if you are in the process of taking the NCLEX however, I believe that even these require that you be an RN prior to starting classes. I'm not sure of on-line ADN to BSN programs for graduate nurses but have to think there may be some out there. It's common for junior colleges to have articulation agreements in place with 4-year schools. So if you got your ADN at a community college, I'd check on that route.
Hello,
Two questions: What is it like taking a course in five to ten weeks? Seems like such a grind. How much math does one need to survive an introductory statistics course? I would really like to "hear" from those of you with children and a spouse respond to my first question. Thanks!

I've been looking into all the Universities listed as well. WGU, Ohio, Fort Hays, UT@Arlington.
I haven't taken Statistics yet. It would be nice to not have to take any pre-reqs and just start nursing classes. I like the idea of rolling admissions. Working on just one class at a time. It would be great to work at my own pace. Not sure if I can find anything like that.
