Hello everyone. I just wanted to start the thread for all the new applicants of RCC's Nursing Program for Spring 2014. This thread is to help each other stay current with old and new information about the program. Share your thoughts about the application process, teas V preparation, acceptance, and support group. Let the applications begin!!
Yup same here! I live in N Rialto, so taking the streets down to arrowhead is about 15, and than to Kaiser in Riverside about 25-35 mins depending on that traffic. I'm thinking shorter drive OR dream work place longer drive lol :)Arrowhead is closer to me too! 15 min away, while kaiser is about 25. The other two options were too far so eh.
Yeah I believe the other sites are in Mo val, and corona. Way too far
So far I started doing everything last week. I already did my 2nd hep b shot. My titers just need to be read by the health services staff on campus, and do my 2nd tb. I'm upset because I KNOW I did my tdap at arrowhead, and now I cannot find that paper showing proof. I can't even find my cpr card! I think I am so overwhelmed I am forgetting where everything is LOL...Just did my backround check today. I really want the priority reg.How about you? Are you coming along well with all of your things?
I submitted my background check yesterday and did the drug screen today. I have my appointment with health services tomorrow for them to evaluate everything and I already had my CPR card because of work. I also bought my ATI stuff today! I'm super excited to get started.
I really want priority registration. I'm leaning towards Kaiser or Arrowhead as well. When is the last day for health services to be in the office before the holidays?
I believe they are there til Dec 20th. But That may be only for the tb test. I would just call or check online to be sure. I still need to scrap to pay for ati. lol I'm like telling my fam sorry but no Christmas presents for any of you... Yeah it totally comes down to arrowhead and kaiser! More the reason to get that priority, I'm sure Kaiser will be the first to get booked!I submitted my background check yesterday and did the drug screen today. Everything is so expensive, but totally worth it! Yeah I'm pretty sure Kaiser will go first. I too had to tell my family no Christmas presents this year lol. I'm sure your family will understand......Its going to be difficult to get that priority registration with the titers and then the holidays....I wish I didnt have to wait that long lol
I'm not trying to make it more difficult. Lol. I'm not in yet (still on standby) so if I get in, I know I will take whatever is left. Kaiser was an amazing experience even as a LVN student. They let the students do all the procedures within their scope of practice. I just wanted you all to have the best possible experience.

Yes it was the Riverside location. They even have lift teams to move the patients. It is my dream job!
